Additional Land at Belfast taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui–Waitaki Railway to take further land at Belfast in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land:—

0 0 12·1 Part Lot 3, D.P. 1098, of R.S. 298; coloured orange.
0 0 3·3 Part Lot 2, D.P. 1098, of R.S. 298; coloured blue.
0 0 12·7 Part Lot 97, D.P. 716, of R.S. 373; coloured sepia.
0 0 3·4 Part Lot 90, D.P. 716, of R.S. 373; coloured sepia.
0 0 8·4 Part road; coloured green.
0 0 8·2 Part road; coloured green.

Situated in Block III, Christchurch Survey District, Waimairi County. (S.O. 7277.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6365, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of December, 1940.

Additional Land taken for Post and Telegraph Purposes in the City of Christchurch.

[I.S.] GALWAY, Governor-General.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for post and telegraph purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-third day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 13 perches. Being Lot 1, D.P. 3629, and being part Town Section 412.

Situated in the City of Christchurch (Canterbury R.D.).

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 109445, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of December, 1940.
