CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Town Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 4th December, 1940.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924 ; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Friday, 10th January, 1941.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 15th January, 1941, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

Waitemata County.—Waiwera Parish.—Town of Orewa.

Lot 131 of Allotment 279 : Area, 39·9 perches. Capital value, £50 ; half-yearly rent, £1 5s.

Sections are situated on a side road (the last few yards of which are only a rough track) within a few chains of the Main North Highway and close to Orewa Beach. Access is from Birkenhead, which is about twenty-two miles distant, or from Devonport ; store within half a mile and Silverdale School two miles and a half. Areas are level and in gorse and scrub, some recently cut ; soil is sandy loam. Sections suitable for summer-bach sites.
