In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of WELLINGTON SEAT ADVERTISING, LTD. (in Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that an extraordinary general meeting of the company will be held at the office of the liquidator, 102 Featherston Street, Wellington, N.Z., on Monday, the 16th day of December, 1940, at 12 noon, for the purpose of having an account laid before it showing how the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company has been disposed of, and of hearing any explanation which may be given by the liquidator, and also on determining by extraordinary resolution how the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of THE DANNEVIRKE DRAPERY SUPPLY COMPANY, LTD. (in Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that meetings of creditors and contributories in the above matter will be held in the offices of the liquidator, Gordon Street, Dannevirke, on the 11th day of December, 1940, at 7.30 p.m.

Business—To receive liquidator’s statement of account and report on the progress of the winding up, pursuant to section 240 of the Companies Act, 1933.

THE CENTRAL WAIKATO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Electric-power Boards’ Act, 1925, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Central Waikato Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on the Central Waikato Electric-power Board’s Raglan Special Area (No. 2) Loan, 1940, £13,000, authorized to be raised by the Board under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of constructing and erecting transmission lines, transformer stations, and all fittings and appliances for conveying, transmitting, and distributing electricity, including the purchase of all necessary land, buildings, material, plant and tools, and all payments for labour, engineers’ fees, plans and supervision, and for compensation to owners of property in respect of such works, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-fifths of a penny (⅗d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) on all rateable property in the said special area comprising—

“ (a) That portion of the County of Raglan included in the Central Waikato Electric-power District by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette on December 21st, 1938, at page 2813, as amended and altered by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette on July 27th, 1939, at page 2042:

“ (b) That portion of the County of Raglan included in the Central Waikato Electric-power District by Proclamation published in the New Zealand Gazette on June 22nd, 1939, at page 1848:

“ and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of twenty-six (26) years or until it is fully paid off.”

We certify that the above is a correct copy of a resolution passed at a duly convened meeting of the Central Waikato Electric-power Board held on the 13th day of November, 1940.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
