I, KENNETH MONTROSE GRAHAM, Returning Officer for the election of a member of the Auckland Land Board, do hereby declare, in accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Land Act, 1924, and the regulations thereunder, the result of the poll taken on the 18th day of November, 1940, to be as follows :—

I, GEORGE IVAN MARTIN, Returning Officer for the election of a member of the Marlborough Land Board, do hereby notify in accordance with the provisions of section 47 of the Land Act, 1924, and the regulations made thereunder, that the only person nominated for the vacancy occurring on the said Board was

Albert Henry Nees, of Hillersden.

I do therefore declare that the said Albert Henry Nees is duly elected a member of the Marlborough Land Board for a term of two years as from the 18th day of January, 1941.

Declaration of Result of Election of Producers’ Representatives on the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee.

I, FRANCIS JOSEPH DAVEY, Returning Officer for the purposes of the election of four (4) producers’ representatives for appointment to the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee established by the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Regulations 1940, made under the Marketing Act, 1936, and the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Act, 1934, do hereby declare the following four (4) producers to have been duly nominated for the said vacancies :—

NORTHERN WARD.
Llewellyn, Donald Irving.
Llewellyn, Sydney Irving.

SOUTHERN WARD.
Eden, Felix Ashton.
Warnes, Charles William.

As the number of candidates nominated for either ward does not exceed the number of vacancies to be filled I therefore declare the said Donald Irving Llewellyn, Sydney Irving Llewellyn, Felix Ashton Eden, and Charles William Warnes to be duly elected for appointment to such office. Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Manufacture for Sale of Radios.

AN application has been received from Spedding Limited, Auckland, for an extension of the scope of the company’s Radio Manufacturer’s License covering the assembly only of radio receiving-sets, so as to include complete manufacture thereof.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 12th December, 1940.
