A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a mine rescue-station; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2 roods 3ยท58 perches.
Being part Allotment 78B No. 2, Pepepe Parish.
Situated in Block XIV, Rangiriri Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 31010.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 109059, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 22nd day of November, 1940.

Road traversing Native Land proclaimed as a Public Road in Block XIV, Bruce Bay Survey District, Westland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Native land:
And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made on the fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and forty, and issued pursuant to section four hundred and eighty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 20ยท4 perches.
Being portion of Section 781 (N.R.), Block XIV, Bruce Bay Survey District. (S.O. plan 4152.)
In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2757, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2883, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of November, 1940.

Declaring Lands in the Auckland, Hawke's Bay, and Canterbury Land Districts to be subject to the Provisions of Section 23 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section twenty-three of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any lands of the Crown to be subject to the provisions of that section to enable certain readjustment of leases and licenses to be carried into effect:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be subject to the provisions of the said section:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by subsection one of the aforesaid section twenty-three, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare, that from and after the date of gazetting hereof, the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of the said section twenty-three of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1939.

Proclaiming a Road-line laid off through Murimotu 5B 3 and 5B 4A Blocks, Block XI, Karioi Survey District, Wellington Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, duly laid off as a road-line in pursuance of section four hundred and seventy-eight of the Native Land Act, 1931:
And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the said Act:
And whereas one month's notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of subsection two of section four hundred and eighty-seven of the said Act:
And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:
