IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of PRINTER’S BUILDINGS, LIMITED (in Voluntary Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that, by an entry in its minute-book, the above company, on the 5th November, 1940, passed a resolution whereby the company was put into voluntary liquidation and EDWARD P. LAMBERT, Public Accountant, of Wellington, was appointed liquidator thereof.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £16,000, authorized to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of carrying out improvements to the water-supply undertaking of the Borough, the said Levin Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eight twenty-fifths of a penny (⁸⁄₂₅d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Levin, comprising the whole of the Borough of Levin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years from the 15th day of November, 1940, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WORLD’S UNIVERSAL CODE COMPANY, LIMITED.
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that the final meeting of the creditors and shareholders of the World’s Universal Code Company, Limited (in liquidation), will be held at the office of the liquidator, 34 Campbell’s Buildings, Vulcan Lane, Auckland, on Thursday, 5th December, 1940, at 12.30 p.m.
Business—(1) To receive, and if thought fit, to adopt liquidator’s report and accounts of liquidation.
(2) To pass such resolutions as may be necessary on the completion of the liquidation.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
TAKE notice that the partnership existing between HUGH WARDELL-JOHNSTON and JOSEPH BROWN, under the firm name of H.B. Scale Repairing Co., has been dissolved by mutual arrangement as from the 21st day of September, 1940, and that the business of Manufacturers Agents and Repairers of Weighing Machines hitherto carried on by the above firm on premises in Dalton Street, Napier, will as from the 21st day of September, 1940, be carried on by the said Joseph Brown solely.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership between the undersigned as Barristers and Solicitors, under the style of SLADDEN AND STEWART, at 39 Johnston Street, Wellington, has been dissolved as from the 31st day of October, 1940, in consequence of Mr. Stewart’s retirement from the firm. The debts owing from or to the firm will be discharged or received by Mr. Sladden who will continue to carry on business at 39 Johnston Street, Wellington.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
THE partnership heretofore carried on by us at 33 Johnston Street, Wellington, as Solicitors, under the name of STAFFORD, STAFFORD, AND STUART, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of October, 1940. Mr. Stafford is continuing to practise on his own account at 33 Johnston Street. Mr. Stuart has joined Mr. E. M. Sladden in partnership and is practising with him under the firm name of Sladden and Stuart, at Accountants Chambers, 39 Johnston Street, Wellington.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a duly convened and properly constituted extraordinary general meeting of Unlisted Securities, Limited, held at Auckland on the 2nd day of November, 1940, the following special resolution was passed:—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that at such meeting Mr. H. W. GLYNN, of 308 Cooke’s Building, Queen Street, Auckland, was appointed liquidator of the company.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Rural Housing Loan No. 1, 1940, £10,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 (to be called the Rural Housing Loan No. 1, 1940, £10,000), authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act, 1939, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one forty-fifth of a penny (1/45d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Rangitikei; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at an ordinary meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held in the County Council Chambers, Marton, on the 7th day of November, 1940.

OXFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
EYRE WATER-RACE DISTRICT.
In the matter of the Water-supply Act, 1908, and the Counties Act, 1920.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a special meeting held by the Council on the 5th day of November, 1940, the Council resolved to constitute, as from the 3rd day of December, a water-race district to be called the Eyre Water-race District, for the purpose of constructing water-races therein. A copy of the resolution constituting the water-race district is deposited for public inspection at the office of the Oxford County Council, Main Street, Oxford, and may be inspected (without fee) during office hours until and including the 2nd day of December, 1940.
Public notice is hereby further given that the Council will meet at the Oxford County Council Chambers, Oxford, at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday, the 3rd December, 1940, for the purpose of confirming the said resolution as a special order.
