The Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940.—Notice Fixing Prices of Certain Grades.
Office of Minister of Marketing,
Wellington, 13th November, 1940.
PURSUANT to Regulation 5:1 of the Lemon Marketing Regulations 1940, I hereby fix the following prices per bushel to be paid by the Marketing Department for lemons of fancy grade and commercial grade respectively delivered to the Department during the undermentioned period.
The prices are fixed on an average basic price of 7s. 3d. for sufficient fruit which when cured will pack a bushel case.
Period of delivery (both days inclusive): 16th November to 30th November, 1940:—
Loose packed fresh lemons, Fancy Grade .. 5 2
Loose packed fresh lemons, Commercial Grade .. 4 6

Oil Fuel Retail Hours (Waimate) Order 1940.
PURSUANT to the Oil Fuel Retail Hours Emergency Regulations 1940, and pursuant to a requisition in writing received in that behalf, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, do hereby direct as follows:—

This Order may be cited as the Oil Fuel Retail Hours (Waimate) Order 1940.

This Order shall come into force on the 25th day of November, 1940.

This Order shall apply to all establishments engaged in the sale by retail of oil fuel and situate in the Borough of Waimate.

On and after the coming into force of this Order all such establishments except as hereinafter provided shall be closed during the whole of every Sunday, and shall on every Friday be opened for the sale of oil fuel from 7.30 a.m. till 9 p.m. and closed at all other times on every Friday and on every other day of the week be opened for the sale of oil fuel from 7.30 a.m. till 6 p.m. and closed at all other times on the said respective days.

In every successive week commencing upon the coming into force of this Order, one of the following establishments hereinafter named shall in the weekly rotation hereinafter set out be exempt from the operation of this Order.

Cape Maria Van Diemen—Te Reinga (Cape Reinga).
Further information about alterations.
Previous Notice: No. 32 of 1940.
Position: Te Reinga: lat., 34° 25′.5 S.; long., 172° 40′.5 E. (approx.).
Details: The main light, red light over Columbia Reef, and the radio beacon were discontinued, and the temporary light on Te Reinga brought into operation on the 2nd inst. The light is flashing every 20 seconds instead of 30 seconds as given in the previous notice.
NOTE.—The new lighthouse station will be known as Te Reinga.

Honeycomb Light: Flash irregular.
Position: Lat., 41° 22′ S.; long., 175° 49′ E. (approx.).
Details: The light is showing a flash every 30 seconds instead of 20 seconds. The light will be overhauled and the flash readjusted as soon as possible.
