JOHN ROBERT EDWARDS.
In the matter of the Administration Act, 1908, and its amendments, and in the matter of the Estate of JOHN ROBERT EDWARDS, late of Feilding, Builder, but now deceased.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand on the 23rd day of October, 1940, pursuant to the powers in that behalf conferred upon him by section 62 of the above-mentioned Act, filed a certificate in the Supreme Court at Wellington electing to administer the above estate under Part IV of the said Act, and that the said estate will as from the said date, be administered, realized, and distributed in accordance with the law and practice of bankruptcy.
Notice is further given that I do hereby summon a meeting of creditors of the above estate to be held at the Public Trust Office, Feilding, on Monday, the 4th day of November, 1940, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
Notice is finally given that all creditors, whether they have already submitted their claims or not, are required to prove their debts within the time and in the matter provided by the Bankruptcy Act, 1908. Proof-of-debt forms may be procured at my office.

Declaration by the Assistant Registrar dissolving a Society.
I, CHARLES LEOPOLD LANDON HARNEY, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Southland District Branch of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union Incorporated is no longer carrying on its operations, the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Featherston County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000 authorized to be raised by the Featherston County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of preparing, constructing, reconstructing, and covering with bitumen material the various roads in the Featherston County, the said council makes and levies a special rate of one eighteenth (1/18th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) upon all rateable property within the Featherston County, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate for the period of ten years or until the said loan shall be paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution is a true and correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of a meeting of the Featherston County Council held at Martinborough on the 29th day of July, 1940.
