FIRST SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF WHAKATANE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, bounded by a
line commencing at a point in Block II, Whakatane Survey
District, being the north-eastern corner of Allotment 273,
Waimana Parish; thence in a south-westerly direction
generally along the south-eastern and south-western bound-
aries of Allotment 273 aforesaid, the generally eastern side
of Bay View Road, the north-eastern and south-eastern
boundaries of Allotment 274, Waimana Parish, to the south-
eastern corner of that allotment; thence by a line bearing
220° 15' to the old Whakatane-Ohiwa Road; thence by a
line bearing 236° to the angle of the Whakatane-Ohiwa
Road north of Peg 146; thence southerly across that road ;
thence along the generally southern side of said road to the
Whakatane-Taneatua Road; thence across the last-named
road to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 261, Parish
of Waimana; thence along the eastern and southern bound-
aries of Allotment 261 aforesaid, the southern boundary of
Allotment 233, Parish of Waimana, and its production across
a public road; thence along the eastern, southern, and
western boundaries of part Allotment 8, Waimana Parish,
on plan No. 15469, deposited in the office of the District
Land Registrar at Auckland; thence by the crossing of a
public road and the southern side of Bridge Street to the
mean high-water mark of the Whakatane River; thence in
generally northerly, westerly, again northerly, and easterly
directions along the right bank of the said Whakatane River
to a point on the northern boundary of Section 9, Block II,
Whakatane Survey District (Recreation Reserve), distance
47.33 links from its north-eastern corner; thence along
right lines on the following approximate bearings and
distances : 3° 25' for 155 ft., 108° 45' for 1,515 ft., to
northern point, Bath Rock; thence 93° 15' for 850 ft., to
north-western corner of the old wharf; thence along old
wharf to its north-eastern corner; thence 84° 0' for 110 ft.,
75° 0' for 315 ft., and 86° 30' for 570 ft., to north-western
corner of new wharf; thence along new wharf to its north-
eastern corner; thence 79° 45' for 460 ft. to rock training-
wall; thence along said wall, 66° 45' for 180 ft., 59° 45'
for 195 ft., 53° 0' for 135 ft., 46° 50' for 275 ft., 37° 0' for
180 ft., to Irakewa Island; along the north-western shore
of Irakewa Island to its northernmost point; thence 36°
45' for 590 ft., along rock training-wall to Flat Rock, around
the north-western face of Flat Rock to its northernmost
end; thence along rock training-wall 39° 45' for 230 ft.,
31° 30' for 150 ft., 24° 0' for 215 ft., to Heads Rock; along
western side of the said rock 358° 0' for 60 ft.; thence 20°
30' for 500 ft., 92° 0' for 340 ft., to mean high-water mark
as defined by plan S.O. 23680; thence in a south-westerly
direction generally following the aforesaid mean high-water
mark to the south-western corner of part Lot I of Allot-
ment 245, Waimana Parish, on D.P. 12340; thence along
the south-western boundary of part Lot 1 aforesaid, the
generally western boundary of part Allotment 245, Waimana
Parish, on D.P. 23787, and the north-eastern boundary of
Lot 1 on D.P. 25400, to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF WHAKATANE.
ALL that area in the Auckland and Gisborne Land Districts,
bounded by a line commencing at a point near the eastern
end of Ohope Beach in Block III, Whakatane Survey District,
being the north-western corner of Lot 140 (Recreation
Reserve), on D.P. 22193; thence proceeding in a south-
westerly direction generally along the south-western boundary
of Lot 140 aforesaid, and the north-western side of Ohope
Road, to Wainui Road; thence in a south-easterly direction
generally across the Wainui Road, and along its generally
western and southern sides, to its junction with the western
side of the Whakatane-Opotiki Main Highway, in Block XI,
Whakatane Survey District; thence in a southerly direction
generally along the western side of that main highway to
the south-eastern corner of Allotment 223, Waimana Parish;
thence across that main highway and along the southern
boundaries of Allotments 268, 269, and 273, Waimana Parish,
to the north-eastern corner of Section 2I, Block IV, Waimana
Survey District; thence along the north-eastern and south-
eastern boundaries of aforesaid Section 2I, and the eastern
boundaries of Waimana Nos. 1c and 1D Blocks to Paitaua;
thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of
the last-mentioned block to the Waimana River; thence
southerly generally up that river to its intersection near the
source with a right line from Maungatapere Trig. Station
to Maungapohatu Trig. Station; thence south-westerly along
that line to the last-mentioned trig. station; thence south-
easterly along a right line running in the direction of Puketapu
Trig. Station to a point in the production of the north-
western boundary-line of the Waipaoa Block; thence south-
westerly to and along the north-western boundaries of the
last-mentioned block and of the forest reserve, and southerly
along the western boundary of the said forest reserve to its
intersection with a right line running between Puketapu
Trig. Station and the most northern point of Lake Waikare-
moana; thence south-westerly along the last-mentioned line
to said northern point of Lake Waikaremoana; thence along
a right line running through a point 180 chains due north
of Maungataniwha Trig. Station to its intersection with a
right line running from Trig. Station Tawhiwau to Trig.
Station 69, Tatara-o-kino; thence along a right line to
Taumutu Trig. Station; thence along a right line to Tiri
Tiri Trig. Station; thence along a right line to Taupiri Trig.
Station; thence along a right line to Peke Peke Trig. Station;
thence along a right line to its intersection with the pro-
duction of a right line running between Trig. Station No. 38,
Ahiwhakamura, and Trig. Station No. 18, Maungawhaka-
mana; thence northerly along the last-mentioned line to
Maungawhakamana aforesaid; thence north-easterly along
a right line to the south-western corner of Matata Parish;
thence northerly along the western boundary of that parish
to the sea; thence south-easterly generally along high-water
mark of the sea to the place of commencement; excluding
therefrom the Borough of Whakatane.
THIRD SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE TANEATUA RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF
WHAKATANE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, bounded by
a line commencing at a point near the eastern end of Ohope
Beach, in Block III, Whakatane Survey District, being the
north-western corner of Lot 140 (Recreation Reserve) on
D.P. 22193; thence proceeding in a south-westerly direction
generally along the south-western boundary of Lot 140
aforesaid, and the north-western side of Ohope Road to
Wainui Road; thence in a southerly direction generally
across the Wainui Road and along its generally western side
to its intersection by the eastern boundary of Lot 3 on
D.P. 24302; thence along the eastern boundaries of Lot 3
aforesaid, Small Grazing Run 4 of Allotment 245, Allotments
361, 352, 349, and 348, all of Waimana Parish, to the
northern boundary of Allotment 345A, Waimana Parish;
thence in easterly and southerly directions across a public
road and along the western and southern boundaries of
Allotment 357, Waimana Parish, the western boundary of
Allotment 330, Waimana Parish, across a public road and
the western boundary of Allotment 343, Waimana Parish,
to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 337, Waimana
Parish; thence in a westerly direction along the southern
boundary of Allotment 337 aforesaid, and its production to
the right bank of the Waimana River; thence along the
right bank of the Waimana River to its junction with the
Whakatane River; thence across the Whakatane River and
southerly along its left bank to the northern boundary of
Rangitaiki Parish 33K No. 2 Block; thence along the northern
boundaries of Rangitaiki Parish, 33K Nos. 2 and 1, 33J, 42,
and 33L Blocks to the south-eastern corner of Omataroa 60A
No. 10 Block; thence along the eastern boundary of Omataroa
60A No. 10 Block to the south-western corner of Rangitaiki
Parish 31r part No. 3; thence along the southern boundaries
of Rangitaiki Parish 31 part P No. 3, P 1, P 2, part 31r,
again P 1, part P 3 Nos. E and J Blocks, and the north-
western boundary of Section 29, Block IX, Whakatane
Survey District, to the Whakatane River; thence generally
in a northerly direction along the left bank of the Whakatane
River to a point in line with the southern boundary of the
Whakatane Borough; thence across the Whakatane River
and along the southern and eastern boundaries of the said
borough to the sea; thence along the mean high-water mark,
Bay of Plenty, to the point of commencement.

Exemption Order under the Transport Legislation Emergency
Regulations 1940.
PURSUANT to the Transport Legislation Emergency
Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport doth
hereby order and declare that the provisions of clause (1)
of Regulation 7 of the Motor-drivers Regulations 1940, so
far as they relate to drivers of heavy trade motors shall not
apply to W. J. S. Robinson, of Mokarita, Wyndham.
