Declaring a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.

Pursuant to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, I, Walter Nash, Minister of Marketing, being satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared to be a pool area, for the marketing of bobby calves, do hereby declare such area of land, defined as aforesaid, to be a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area for the purposes of the said regulations under the name set out in the said Schedule, and I do hereby declare that this notice shall take effect on the 7th day of November, 1940.

SCHEDULE.

Hebetaunga Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.

All that area of land situated within the Patangata, Dannevirke, Waipawa, Waipukurau, Hawke’s Bay, and Wairoa Counties and bounded by a line commencing at the point where the southern boundary of Block XII, Porangahau Survey District, meets the sea-coast to the south-east of Porangahau Township; thence from this point in a generally north-westerly direction taking a straight line across country to the point where the Rangitoto Road crosses the Waikopiro Stream in the western portion of Block XI, Takapau Survey District; thence from this point continuing in a generally northerly and then westerly direction along the boundary of the Norsewood-United Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area to the point where the said boundary meets the Waipawa County boundary in the western portion of Block VII, Makaretu Survey District; thence from this point continuing in a generally northerly direction along the Waipawa County boundary to the point where it meets the Hawke’s Bay County boundary; thence continuing again in a generally northerly direction along the Hawke’s Bay County boundary formed by the Ruahine Ranges to the point where the Main Napier–Taupo Highway bridges the Mohaka River; thence continuing down-stream along the Mohaka River to the sea-coast; thence following the sea-coast in a generally southerly direction to the point where the southern boundary of Block XII, Porangahau Survey District, crosses the coast-line, being the original point of commencement.

Okaihau Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.

All that area of land situated within the Bay of Islands and the Hokianga Counties and bounded by a line commencing at the point where the southern boundary of Section 1s, Block XI, Omapiere Survey District, adjoins the Omapiere Lake; thence from this point continuing in a south-easterly direction along the southern boundary of the said section; thence in a northerly direction along the eastern boundary of the said section to the Okaihau–Waimate North Road; thence continuing along the said road in the direction of Waimate North to the point where the said road crosses the boundary-line dividing Block VIII, Omapiere Survey District, and Block V, Kawakawa Survey District; thence continuing in a northerly direction along the boundary-line dividing Block VIII, Omapiere Survey District, and Block V, Kawakawa Survey District, and continuing along the boundary-line dividing Block IV, Omapiere Survey District, and Block I, Kawakawa Survey District, to the point where the said boundary meets the boundary-line of the Whangaroa Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area to the east of Old Land Claim 13, the point of junction being in the north-east corner of Block IV, Omapiere Survey District; thence from this point taking a straight line across country to the Manginangina Trig. Station, the line coinciding with the boundary of the Whangaroa Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area, and the Trig. Station aforesaid, being in the north-eastern corner of Block XV, Kaeo Survey District, and on the boundary-line dividing the Counties of Whangaroa and the Bay of Islands; thence from the Manginangina Trig. Station continuing in a generally westerly direction along the county boundary to the point where the county boundary meets the Waipapa River; thence from this point continuing in a generally south-westerly direction along the southern bank of the Waipapa River to the junction of the said river with the Waihou River; thence continuing along the foreshore of the southern bank of the Waihou River to the mouth of the Waima River; thence continuing along the northern bank of the Waima River to the point where the said bank is intersected by the boundary-line dividing the Mangamuka Survey District from the Waoku Survey District; thence from this point in a generally north-easterly direction taking a straight line across country to the Pukeharaiki Trig. Station in the north-eastern corner of Block XIII, Mangamuka Survey District; thence from this point taking a straight line across country again to the point where the Utakura River rises in Omapiere Lake; thence continuing along the western and northern shores of Omapiere Lake to the southern boundary of Section 1s, Block XI, Omapiere Survey District, being the original point of commencement.

All that area of land situated within the Taranaki and Inglewood Counties and bounded by a line commencing at the point where the Waiwakaiho River crosses the Inglewood County boundary in Block X, Paritutu Survey District; thence continuing in a generally northerly direction down-stream along the Waiwakaiho River to the point where the said river meets the New Plymouth Borough boundary in the eastern portion of Block V, Paritutu Survey District; thence continuing in a generally westerly direction along the said borough boundary to the north-eastern corner of Section 38, Block IV, Paritutu Survey District; thence from this point taking a straight line across country along the section boundaries in a south-westerly direction to the Paritutu survey-line; thence continuing in a generally south-easterly direction along the Paritutu survey-line to the south-eastern corner of Section 53a, Block VIII, Paritutu Survey District; thence along the southern boundaries of Sections 53a and 53 aforesaid to the eastern boundary of Section 54a; thence along the eastern boundary of Section 54a in a south-easterly direction; thence along the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 54a to Barrett Road; thence along Barrett Road in a generally southerly direction to the south-east corner of Section 81, Block VIII aforesaid; thence along the south-eastern boundary of Sections 81 and 86, Block VIII aforesaid, to the Nakara Stream; thence along the said stream in a generally southerly direction to the southern boundary of Section 104, Block I, Egmont Survey District; thence along the said boundary to the eastern boundary of Section 105; thence along the said boundary to the northern boundary of Section 120; thence along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of Section 120 to the Hurford Road; thence along the said road in a generally south-westerly direction to Carrington Road; thence continuing in a generally south-westerly direction along Carrington Road to the north-western corner of Section 12, Block V, Egmont Survey District; thence along the western boundary of the said Section 12 and continuing in a straight line to the Egmont Forest Reserve boundary in the southern portion of Block V, Egmont Survey District; thence continuing in a generally easterly direction to the point where the Kai-ana Stream crosses the Egmont Forest Reserve boundary in the south-eastern portion of Block VI, Egmont Survey District; thence continuing in a south-easterly direction along the Forest Road to the point where it meets the boundary between the Inglewood and Stratford Counties; thence following the Inglewood County boundary in an easterly then westerly direction to the point where it meets the Taru-rutangi survey-line; thence continuing in a north-westerly direction along the aforesaid survey-line to Manutahi Road; thence continuing in a north-westerly direction along the aforesaid road to a point where it meets the Maungaroa Stream; thence following the aforesaid stream in a southerly direction to the Inglewood County boundary; thence following the aforesaid boundary in a westerly and northerly direction to the Waiwakaiho River, being the original point of commencement.
