Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the
Purposes of a Road in the Town District of Kaikohe, at
Kaikohe.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land taken for the purposes of the
Kawakawa-Hokianga Railway, and it is considered desirable
to allocate such land to the purposes of a road :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand
Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be
under the control of the Kaikohe Town Board, and shall
be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other
public highways are controlled and maintained by the said
Board.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are
more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6294,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day
of October, 1940.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for a Native school; and I do also
declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after
the twenty-ninth day of October, one thousand nine hundred
and forty.

107686, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of
October, 1940.
