Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirits.
AN application has been received from Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., Wanganui, for permission to move two petrol pumps from present premises at 55 Taupo Quay to a new site at premises at 1 St. Hill Street, Wanganui.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing to the undersigned not later than the 24th October, 1940.

AN application has been received from W. Riley, Napier, for a license to commence to carry on the sale by retail of fish, by hawking in the Wairoa, Tolaga Bay, Tokomaru Bay, and Hastings areas.

Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935.
PURSUANT to the Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society on the 19th day of September, 1940, ordered that Robert McKinnon be suspended from practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for two years from the date of hearing and pay five guineas costs.

PURSUANT to the Law Practitioners Amendment Act, 1935, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society on the 19th day of September, 1940, ordered that William Henry Mervyn Adams, of Auckland, be suspended from practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for two years from the date of hearing and pay five guineas costs.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 15th October, 1940.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 11th November, 1940.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 13th November, 1940, at 10 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, lease fee, and deposit in reduction of weighting for improvements.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Bay of Islands County.—Russell Survey District.
(Exempt from payment of rent for two years.*)
SECTIONS 1 and 7, Block VI: Area, 406 acres 2 roods 20 perches. Capital value, £305; half-yearly rent, £6 2s.
*Rental exemption is conditional on improvements to the value of £40 being effected annually during the exemption period in addition to those required by the conditions of the lease.
Weighted with £496 for improvements, comprising 30 chains boundary fence, 60 chains subdivision fence, and 300 acres surface sown and cleared. This sum is payable in cash, or, after payment of a deposit of £46, the balance may be paid over a period of twenty-five years and a half by half-yearly instalments of £15 15s., interest at 5 per cent.
