IN the Order in Council dated 18th September, 1940, and published in Gazette No. 99 of the 19th idem, at page 2359, including certain land in respect of which there are no electors in the City of Christchurch, after the word “Road” in line seventeen of the Schedule insert “at the southernmost corner of Rural Section 1151.”

Additional Land at Christchurch taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui—Waitaki Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Hurunui—Waitaki Railway to take further land at Christchurch in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway: Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 12·25 perches.
Part Lot 61, D.P. 2, of R.S. 79, City of Christchurch. (S.O. 7156.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked I.O. 5928, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of October, 1940.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for defence purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the seventeenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 rood.
Being Lot 65 on D.P. 3605, being part Section 95, Hutt District.
Situated in Block I, Rimutaka Survey District (Borough of Upper Hutt). (S.O. 20617.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 108784, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 14th day of October 1940.
