Enabling the Supreme Court to exercise Jurisdiction in Prize.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by Proclamation bearing date the twenty-third day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, made in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred by the Prize Courts Act, 1894 (Imp.), and to the intent that the jurisdiction in Prize of the Supreme Court should thenceforth become exercisable, it was proclaimed that war had broken out between His Majesty and Germany:
And whereas by information received by me I am satisfied that war has broken out as hereinafter proclaimed:
Now, therefore, in further pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred on me by the said Act, and to the intent that the jurisdiction in Prize of the Supreme Court shall henceforth become exercisable, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General and Vice-Admiral of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that war has broken out between His Majesty and the King of Italy.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand and Vice-Admiral of the same, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of October, 1940.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a public school, and shall vest in the Education Board of the District of Auckland as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourteenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and forty.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 21Β·7 perches. Being part Allotment 3, Block V, Te Kuiti Native Township.
Situated in Block III, Otanake Survey District (Borough of Te Kuiti) (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 30858.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 108593, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of October, 1940.
