NOTICE is hereby given that the final general meeting of the company will be held at the registered office of the company, 97 Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North, at 1.30 p.m. on the 24th day of October, 1940.
Business—To receive the liquidator’s final account of the winding up and the disposal of the company’s assets and any explanation thereof.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 24th day of September, 1940, presented to the said Court by Robert Malcolm, Limited, a company duly incorporated having its registered office at 79 Lichfield Street in the City of Christchurch and carrying on business there and elsewhere as a manufacturers agent; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Christchurch on the 14th day of October, 1940, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon: And any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose: And a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

UAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Uawa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand pounds (£3,000), authorized to be raised by the Uawa County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act, 1939, and its amendments, the said Uawa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eleventh of a penny (1/11d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of the whole of the rateable property in the County of Uawa; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and payable half-yearly on the sixth days of February and August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
