HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, and transfers of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces :—

STAFF.
Lieutenant-Colonel G. B. Parkinson, Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, relinquishes the appointment of Commander, Royal N.Z. Artillery, Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 10th December, 1939.
Lieutenant-Colonel A. B. Williams, D.S.O., Regiment of Royal N.Z. Artillery, on exchange to Australia, having returned to the Dominion on the 8th December, 1939, ceases to be seconded, and is appointed Commander, Royal N.Z. Artillery, Army Headquarters, Wellington. Dated 11th December, 1939.

COMMANDS.
Lieutenant-Colonel A. J. Nicoll, the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry, relinquishes command of the Regiment on being seconded for duty with the Special Force. Dated 8th November, 1939.
Major L. R. C. Macfarlane, M.C., V.D., The Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry, is appointed to command the Regiment temporarily. Dated 12th December, 1939.

THE CANTERBURY YEOMANRY CAVALRY.
Major L. R. C. Macfarlane, M.C., V.D., from the Reserve of Officers, to be Major, with seniority from 1st September, 1930. Dated 12th December, 1939.

REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
