SPECIAL ORDER.
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, the Collingwood County Council resolves by way of special order, as follows:—
That sections one hundred and twenty-one and one hundred and thirty-one of the Counties Act, 1920, shall not apply to the Collingwood County.
The foregoing special order was duly made by the Collingwood County Council on the 4th day of February, 1939.

Notice respecting Proposed Alterations of Boundaries, Borough of Mosgiel.

IT is hereby notified that two petitions have been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, praying that the areas described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of Mosgiel and included in the County of Taieri.
All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alterations of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
Areas proposed to be excluded from Borough of Mosgiel and included in County of Taieri.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 39 acres 1 rood 1 perch, more or less, being part of Sections 10 and 11, Block II, East Taieri Survey District, bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Lot 5, Deposited Plan 2330, being part of Section 9, Block II, East Taieri Survey District, 2469·7 links bearing 157° 50' 54"; towards the south-east by Section 4 and part of Section 5, Block II, East Taieri Survey District, 1666 links bearing 247° 50' 54"; towards the south-west by High Street, 1622·1 links bearing 337° 50' 54"; towards the north-west, south-west, and south-east by Green Street, 265·9 links bearing 67° 50' 54", 100 links bearing 337° 50' 54", and 49·2 links bearing 247° 50' 54", and again towards the south-west by Lot 2, Deposited Plan 5088, 747·6 links bearing 337° 50' 54"; and towards the north-west by part of Section 10, 1449·3 links bearing 67° 50' 54"; be all the aforesaid measurements a little more or less.
