THE NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

ALEXANDER COWIE, Chairman of the North Canterbury Electric-power Board, do hereby certify that the following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the North Canterbury Electric-power Board, held in Rangiora, on the 24th day of January, 1939.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and all other powers enabling it thereto, the North Canterbury Electric-power Board resolved as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £26,500 authorized to be raised by the North Canterbury Electric-power Board under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of carrying out electrical reticulation, erecting mains, and providing materials and things necessary or incidental to extending the Board's electric supply to that portion of the County of Cheviot included in the area described in the Second Schedule to section 49 of the Local Legislation Act, 1933, the said North Canterbury Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-three one-hundredths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the special rating area cited above, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 16th day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
