SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-SETTLEMENT LAND.
Waikato County.-Cambridge Survey District.-Te Miro Settlement.
SECTION 37s : Area, 78 acres 2 roods 9 perches. Capital value, £1,670*; half-yearly rent, £41 15s.

  • Capital value includes improvements, comprising fencing, shelter-belts, roads, bridges and culverts, drains, clearing and grassing.
    Weighted with £1,035 for improvements, comprising dwelling, cow-shed and yard, manure-shed, piggeries, water-supply, and electric installation. This sum is payable in cash, or over a period of twenty-one years by forty-two half-yearly instalments of £40 7s. 4d., payable in advance.
    This property is a dairy farm situated on the Cambridge-Te Miro road, six miles from Cambridge Post-office, School, and Saleyards, and two miles from Goodwood School, access being by good metalled road from Cambridge; cream is collected. Approximately 54 acres is good flat land in good pasture, balance being undulating to hilly in medium pasture, all ploughable. Soil is a heavy loam resting on clay formation; watered by bore and troughs. The property is estimated to carry a herd of forty dairy cows, together with necessary young stock, horses, &c., in its present condition.

    Land in Canterbury Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.
    District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, 26th July, 1939.
    NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on optional tenures under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, 28th August, 1939.
    Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, on Tuesday, 29th August, 1939, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
    Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.
    The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year's rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.
    SCHEDULE.
    CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.-SECOND-CLASS LAND.
    Ashburton County.-Ashburton Survey District.
    SECTION 15 of Reserve 1467, Block X: Area, 13 acres 0 roods 36.4 perches. Capital value £70. Deposit on deferred payments, £10. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £1 19s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £1 8s.
    This land adjoins Main South Railway at Dromore, about six miles and a half from Ashburton by shingle road. The land is all flat and ploughable, with a light soil resting on clay and shingle. It has been recently cleared of gorse and broom and the area isn ow ready for the plough.

    NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act, 1921-22, as a State forest.
