Conferring Extended Powers on North Shore Boroughs (Auckland) Water-supply Board.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section forty-three of the North Shore Boroughs (Auckland) Water-supply Act, 1924 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that for the purposes of conserving the supply of water in Lake Takapuna, regulating the output of water from the lake, maintaining the purity of the water-supply from the lake, and otherwise for the purposes of the said Act, the North Shore Boroughs (Auckland) Water Board, constituted under the said Act, shall, from the date of this Proclamation, have the following powers in addition to the powers conferred upon the said Board by the said Act, and by the Proclamation dated the eleventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight, and published in the Gazette of the nineteenth day of the same month:—
I. The said Board shall have power to make, subject to the provisions of the said Act, by-laws for all or any of the following matters:—

Licensing, regulating, restricting, or prohibiting on any part of the catch-water area surrounding Lake Takapuna—
(a) The erection or use of any tent, marquee, caravan, or other portable or temporary structure;
(b) The working of any pit, stone-quarry, or rock-face, or any excavation of any kind in connection with the working of a pit, stone-quarry, or rock-face. -
Licensing, regulating, restricting, or prohibiting the keeping or using of any punt, raft, boat, or other craft upon the lake or upon the shore thereof.
II. The provisions of section forty-two of the said Act (including the provisions as to penalties therein contained) and the provisions of section forty-six of the said Act (so far as applicable) shall extend and apply to all by-laws made under the powers hereby conferred.
III. The provisions of any by-laws made under the powers hereby conferred shall be in addition to, and shall not abridge or affect, any remedy or proceeding under any other Act or under regulations made under any other Act, or under by-laws made by any local authority under any other Act, but so that no person shall be punished for the same offence both under the provisions of by-laws made under the powers hereby conferred and under any other law or enactment or any regulations or by-laws thereunder.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the development of water-power; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 acre 0 roods 32 perches.
Being portion of Lot 23, D.P. 25437, being parts Allotments 5A and 149, Parish of Waipareira.
Situated in Block XIV, Waitemata Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 29985.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 103308, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of July, 1939.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a State coal depot; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 38 perches.
Being Lot 4, D.P. 2, being part Rural Section 79 (City of Christchurch).
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 102530, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of July, 1939.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for defence purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 acre 2 roods 9·6 perches.
Being part Lots 24 and 25, D.P. 1283, being part Rural Section 1534.
Situated in Block XIV, Christchurch Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7083.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 102880, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
