In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of GARNHAM AND TAYLOR, LTD. (in Liquidation).
NOTICE is hereby given that a final meeting of the members of the company will be held at the offices of Messrs. Barnett and Barnett, Featherston Chambers, corner of Brandon and Featherston Streets, Wellington, C. 1, on Friday, the 28th July, 1939, at 4 p.m., for the purpose of having the liquidator's accounts laid before the meeting and for the purpose of directing the liquidator as to the disposal of the books and papers of the company.

MANUREWA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Manurewa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :-
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of Β£8,950, authorized to be raised by the Manurewa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of concreting footpaths in the Borough and providing the Council's proportion of the cost of tar-sealing Alfriston Road, Main Highway, the said Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighteenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Manurewa, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

Note of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution.
NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 7th day of July, 1939, the following special resolution was duly passed :-
" That the members of the company are of the opinion that the company be wound up forthwith and that SYDNEY ERNEST BROWN, Public Accountant, of Wellington, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding up."

SPRINGS-ELLESMERE ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Springs-Ellesmere Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows :-
"That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of Β£25,000, known as the Reticulation Loan, 1939, authorized pursuant to section 15 of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, to be raised by the Springs-Ellesmere Electric-power Board under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, for the further reticulation of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric-power District, the said Springs-Ellesmere Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-five one-thousandths (55/1000ths.) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric-power District, comprising the whole of the counties of Ellesmere, Springs, and Paparua, parts of the Counties of Selwyn, Halswell, and Malvern, and the Town Districts of Leeston and Southbridge ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
Certified to be a correct copy of the resolution passed at a meeting of the Board held on 28th June, 1939, and confirmed at a meeting of the Board held on 10th July, 1939.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned, JOHN WALLACE NICOLL and JAMES DONALD NICOLL carrying on business as Farmers at Mabel Bush, Southland, under the style or firm of "Nicoll Brothers," has this day been dissolved by mutual consent. The business will be carried on in future by the undersigned JOHN WALLACE NICOLL. All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said John Wallace Nicoll.
