PURSUANT to the provisions of the Dangerous Drugs Regulations, dated the 24th day of September, 1928, and appearing in the New Zealand Gazette published on the 27th day of September, 1928, at page 2873, I, Peter Fraser, Minister of Health, on the recommendation of the Medical Council, hereby prohibit Graham Campbell MacDiarmid, registered medical practitioner, of Putaruru, from issuing prescriptions for the dispensing of dangerous drugs.
Given under my hand at Wellington, this 7th day of July, 1939.

Classification of Road in Geraldine County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, the Minister of Transport does hereby revoke the Warrants classifying roads in the Geraldine County dated the 3rd day of February, 1934, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 6 of the 8th day of February, 1934, at page 202, and dated the 1st day of March, 1935, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 14 of the 7th day of March, 1935, at page 631, in so far as the said Warrants relate to the classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Geraldine County, and does hereby declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall belong to the class of road stated in the said Schedule.

GERALDINE COUNTY.
Road classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which with the load it is carrying weighs not more than 7 tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which when carrying a load has an axle weight of not more than 4½ tons on any one axle.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty-two of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Lower Hutt and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Approval of Fees for Licensing of Motor-vehicles fixed by By-laws.—Hokianga County Council.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased, in terms of section 109 of the Counties Act, 1920, to approve of so much of the by-laws made by the Hokianga County Council on the 13th December, 1938, as appoints the several sums to be paid to the County Fund for the licensing of vehicles plying for hire.
