We, the undersigned, being the auditors of the Auckland Savings-bank appointed in terms of section 4 of the Savings-banks Amendment Act, 1923, hereby certify—(1) That we are satisfied that the foregoing balance-sheet has been properly drawn up from the books, accounts, and vouchers of the savings-bank so as to exhibit a true and correct view of the state of the savings-bank’s affairs as at the 31st March, 1939, in accordance with the requirements of the Savings-banks Amendment Act, 1923. (2) That we have verified the cash, investments, securities, and assets of the savings-bank as at the 31st March, 1939. (3) That we have obtained all the information and explanations we have required.
(4) That the manager has certified that all the requirements of the Savings-banks Act, 1908, and amendments have been complied with, excepting the provisions of sections 18, 20, and 50 of the principal Act, which have been observed to the extent that is practicable.

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY.
NOTICE is hereby given that Clarke and Venn, Limited, has changed its name to J. W. H. Clarke and Son, Limited, and that the new name was this day entered in my Register of Companies in place of the former name.
This notice cancels and is in substitution for the notice published on 15th day of June, 1939, in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 45, page 1843.

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the Papatahi Water-supply, the said Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of tenpence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of all that parcel of land situate in the Kawakawa Riding of the Bay of Islands County known as the Papatahi Special Rating Area, as defined in the following Schedule.
“SCHEDULE.
“ All that parcel of land situate in the Bay of Islands County, and in Block XV of the Kawakawa Survey District: Bounded, commencing at the north-east corner of Lot 81 of D.P. 6732; thence in a south-east direction by the eastern boundaries of Lots 81, 58 to 73 of the said D.P. 6732; thence by the southern boundary of the said Lot 73 to the south-east corner of Lot 56, D.P. 6732; thence by the southern boundary of the said Lot 56 and Lot 19 to Pembroke Street; thence by the eastern boundary of Pembroke Street in a south-east direction to the south-east corner of Lot 21, D.P. 6732; thence by the southern boundary of the said Lot 21 and Lot 34 of D.P. 6732 to the south-west corner of Lot 21, D.P. 16531; thence in a north-west direction by the western
