NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of section 188 (3) of the Mining Act, 1926, as amended by section 18 of the Mining Amendment Act, 1937, that unless sufficient cause to the contrary be shown within one month of the date hereof the mining privilege mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be struck off the register.

IN accordance with the decision of the International Telegraph and Telephone Conference, 1938, the following amendment is to be made to the section headed “Punctuation” on page 12 of the above publication in respect of the symbol for full stop and decimal point :—

NEW ZEALAND.—SOUTH ISLAND.—SEPARATION POINT.
Light to be established.
Position : Lat., 40° 47′ S.; long., 173° 00·1′ E. (approx.) on north-eastern extremity of Separation Point.
Abridged description : Fl. ev. 8 sec. 60 ft. 12 M (U).
Details : A flashing white light will be established in the above position on or about the 16th instant. Character, flashing every 8 seconds, flash 0·5 sec. Structure, 8 ft. cylinder painted white. Elevation, 60 ft. Visibility, 12 miles. Arc of visibility, 099° through south to 328°. Candlepower, 440. The light is unwatched.
No further notice will be given.

Including Additional Land in the Tuparoa Development Scheme.
PURSUANT to section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares the Native Land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act and to be included in the Tuparoa Development Scheme.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of Native land in the Tairawhiti Native Land Court District, situate in Block III, Mata Survey District, and known as the Puhunga A 4b Block, containing 65 acres 1 rood 14 perches, more or less.
