The Rural Intermediate Credit Act, 1927.—Appointment of District Intermediate Credit Supervisors and Chairmen of District Boards and Appointment of Deputy District Intermediate Credit Supervisor.
IT is hereby notified for public information that the Rural Intermediate Credit Board, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon it by section 14 of the Rural Intermediate Credit Act and of paragraphs 10 and 21 of the Regulations made under the said Act and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 22nd December, 1927, and of all other powers it in that behalf enabling, has made the following appointments :
Beattie, William Richie, Branch Manager of the State Advances Corporation at Hamilton, to be District Intermediate Credit Supervisor for the Waikato Rural Intermediate Credit District and Chairman of the Waikato District Rural Intermediate Credit Board in succession to Donald Grant, the appointment to take effect as from the 1st day of June, 1939.
Grant, Donald, of Hamilton, Civil Servant, to be Deputy District Intermediate Credit Supervisor for the Waikato Rural Intermediate Credit District, the appointment to take effect as from the 1st day of June, 1939.
Kay, Reginald Vincent, Resident Officer of the State Advances Corporation at Whangarei, to be District Intermediate Credit Supervisor for the North Auckland Rural Intermediate Credit District and Chairman of the North Auckland District Rural Intermediate Credit Board in succession to Frederick Walter Sullivan, the appointment to take effect as from the 2nd day of June, 1939.

PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll of Proposal to raise a Roads and Streets Improvement Loan of £26,000.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of Borough of Pukekohe taken on the 2nd day of June, 1939, on the proposal of the Pukekohe Borough Council to borrow the sum of twenty-six thousand pounds (£26,000) for the purpose of improving main highways and other roads and streets in the Borough of Pukekohe including the construction, reconstruction, metalling, and surfacing of same, the provision of culverts, storm-water drains, footpaths, and kerbing and channelling thereon, the taking and purchase of land for any necessary deviations or widening, the cost of machinery, plant and materials, labour, engineering, legal and survey costs, incidental thereto :

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 338
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 17
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
