Thomas Caius Vincent, Esquire, Farmer, of Levin,
to be a member of the Assessment Court for the Borough of Levin; and also to appoint
William Rankin Birnie, Esquire, Valuer, of Palmerston North,
on the recommendation of the Levin Borough Council to be a member of the said Assessment Court.

REGULAR AIR FORCE.
Appointment.
Ian Alastair Scott is granted a short service commission in the rank of Flight Lieutenant (on probation) and is posted to Air Headquarters for signals duties. Dated 11th May, 1939.
Promotion.
Pilot Officer S. M. Kirkcaldie to be Flying Officer. Dated 26th January, 1939.

STAFF AND COMMANDS.
Major H. D. McHugh, M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Area Staff Officer, No. 1 Area, Auckland. Dated 20th May, 1939.
Lieutenant R. de la Cour, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Assistant Adjutant, 2nd Heavy Artillery Group, Fort Dorset. Dated 21st May, 1939.
Lieutenant R. B. Symon, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Assistant Adjutant, 3rd Artillery Brigade Group, Christchurch. Dated 11th May, 1939.
Lieutenant J. Burns, N.Z. Staff Corps, is appointed Assistant Adjutant, 1st Heavy Artillery Group, Devonport. Dated 20th May, 1939.
The period of command of Lieutenant-Colonel R. W. Fenton, E.D., 2nd Artillery Brigade Group, is extended to 12th June, 1940.
Major A. Ainslie, Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, is appointed to command the 17th Medium Battery. Dated 1st June, 1939.
THE AUCKLAND (EAST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
2nd Lieutenant A. M. Jordan, from the Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, to be 2nd Lieutenant, with seniority from 25th February, 1934. Dated 26th May, 1939.
2nd Lieutenant A. M. Jordan to be Lieutenant. Dated 7th November, 1937.
REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Captain A. Ainslie, 17th Medium Battery, to be Major. Dated 1st June, 1939.
Captain F. M. Yendell, 2nd Medium Battery, is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 4. Dated 23rd May, 1939.
Lieutenant T. M. Scott, 8th Field Battery, to be Captain. Dated 24th November, 1938.
2nd Lieutenant A. M. Jordan ceases to be attached to and is transferred to the Auckland (East Coast) Mounted Rifles. Dated 26th May, 1939.
THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT (CITY OF WELLINGTON’S OWN).
Lieutenant C. N. Watson, 1st Battalion, to be Captain. Dated 1st March, 1939.
THE WELLINGTON WEST COAST REGIMENT.
Lieutenant E. T. Pleasants, Regimental Depot, is seconded for duty with the Samoa Defence Force. Dated 10th April, 1939.
THE HAWKE’S BAY REGIMENT.
Lieutenant W. H. Ellingham ceases to be seconded to the 2nd Composite Battalion and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), Area 8. Dated 26th May, 1939.
THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.
The undermentioned cease to be posted to the 6th Cadet Battalion and are posted to the 5th Cadet Battalion. Dated 1st April, 1939.
