Additional Land taken for the Purposes of a Hospital in the City of Christchurch, subject to certain interests.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare : (a) that the additional lands described in the Schedules hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of a hospital ; (b) that the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is taken subject to the leasehold interest created therein by an unregistered agreement dated the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight, between H. H. Hinkey, of Oamaru, and the K. E. England and Son Cash Timber Company, of 35 St. Asaph Street, Christchurch; and (c) that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken :- A. R. P. Being 0 0 20 Lot 12, D.P. 1692, being part Town Reserve 1; edged blue. 0 0 26.7 Lot 11 and part Lot 10, D.P. 1692, being part Town Reserve 1; edged red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 33.3 perches. Being Lot 9 and part Lot 10, D.P. 1692, being part Town Reserve 1 ; edged yellow. All situated in the City of Christchurch (Canterbury R.D.).
All in the Canterbury Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 103357, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of June, 1939.

A PROCLAMATION.
N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a police-station ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 rood 34.9 perches. Being part Rural Section 1954. Situated in Block VIII, Oxford Survey District (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7091.)
In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 103203, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of June, 1939.

Land taken for Drainage and Flood-protection Purposes in Blocks VII and XI, Mount Robinson Survey District, Horowhenua County.

A PROCLAMATION.
N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for drainage and flood-protection purposes and shall vest in the Makerua Drainage Board as from the date hereinafter mentioned ; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 2 acres 3 roods 15.5 perches.
Being portion of Lot 14, D.P. 3001, being part of Manawatu-Kukutauaki No. 2F Block.
Situated in Blocks VII and XI, Mount Robinson Survey District. (S.O. 20232.)
In the Wellington Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 102691, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of June, 1939.

Land in the Westland Land District proclaimed as ceasing to be set apart as National-endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and two of the Land Act, 1924, as amended by section ten of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1926, it is enacted that on the disposal of any national-endowment land by way of sale or on the acquisition of the fee-simple of any such land, the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare that such land shall, as from a date to be specified in the Proclamation, cease to be national-endowment land :
And whereas the fee-simple of the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired (being land heretofore held on a license issued under the regulations for the occupation of pastoral lands within the Karamea and Westland Mining Districts), and it is expedient that the said land should cease to be national-endowment land :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the aforesaid section three hundred and two of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the thirtieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was set apart as national-endowment land under the provisions of section two hundred and fifty-eight of the Land Act, 1908, ceased to be national-endowment land.
SCHEDULE.
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 3616, Block XIII, Wanganui Survey District : Area, 110 acres.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of June, 1939.
