Varying the Determinations in respect of the Te Aroha Borough
Council’s Loan of £550.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day
of December, 1938.
Present :
THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the twenty-
sixth day of October, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty-eight, and subject to the determinations as to
borrowing and repayment therein set out, consent was given
to the raising by the Te Aroha Borough Council (hereinafter
called “the said local authority”) of the sum of five hundred
and fifty pounds (£550), by a loan to be known as “Municipal
Buildings Supplementary Loan, 1938” (hereinafter called
“the said loan”):
And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in
Council has not yet been exercised, and it is expedient to
vary certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the
said loan:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government
Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of
the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary
certain of the determinations aforesaid in respect of the
said loan by prescribing that in lieu of making provision for
the repayment of the said loan by establishing a sinking fund
in respect thereof the said local authority may raise the said
loan upon terms of making the same, together with interest
thereon, repayable by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly
instalments extending over the period of ten (10) years.

Council’s Loan of £1,200.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day
of December, 1938.

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the fifteenth
day of December, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-seven (hereinafter called “the said Order in Council”)
and subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repay-
ment therein set out, consent was given to the raising in New
Zealand by the Rangiora Borough Council (hereinafter called
“the said local authority”) of the sum of one thousand two
hundred pounds (£1,200) by a loan to be known as “Lynd-
hurst Reserve Loan, 1937” (hereinafter called “the said
loan”):
And whereas the said loan has not yet been raised and it
is expedient to vary the determinations aforesaid in respect
thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government
Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of
the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary
the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said loan by
prescribing as follows :—
(1) In lieu of a term of twenty (20) years as prescribed in
clause (1) of the said Order in Council the term shall not
exceed ten (10) years.
(2) In lieu of making provision for the repayment of the
said loan by establishing a sinking fund in respect thereof
the said local authority may raise the said loan upon terms
of making the same, together with interest thereon, repayable
by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending
over the term as determined in (1) above.

Buckley Drainage Board’s Loan of £1,000.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 17th day
of December, 1938.

THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the eighteenth
day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-
seven (hereinafter called “the said Order in Council”), and
subject to the determinations as to borrowing and repayment
therein set out, consent was given to the raising in New
Zealand by the Buckley Drainage Board (hereinafter called
“the said local authority”) of the sum of one thousand
pounds (£1,000) by a loan to be known as “Flood-damage
Repairs Loan, 1937” (hereinafter called “the said loan”):
And whereas the said loan has not yet been raised and it
is expedient to vary the determinations aforesaid in respect
of the sum of nine hundred and fifteen pounds (£915)
(hereinafter called “the said sum”):
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government
Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of
the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary
the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said sum by
prescribing as follows :—
(1) In lieu of a term of ten (10) years as prescribed in
clause (1) of the said Order in Council the term shall not
exceed eight (8) years.
(2) In lieu of making provision for the repayment of the
said sum by establishing a sinking fund in respect thereof
the said local authority may raise the said sum upon terms
of making the same, together with interest thereon, repayable
by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extend-
ing over the term as determined in (1) above.

Revoking Order in Council of the 16th Day of July, 1928,
licensing Gladys May Lisle to use and occupy a Part of the
Foreshore of Whangape Harbour as a Site for a Wharf.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of
January, 1939.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the sixteenth day
of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
eight, and published in the Gazette of the nineteenth day of
the same month, at page 2228, Messrs. A. S. Andrews and
Sons were licensed to use and occupy a part of the foreshore
and land below low-water mark of Whangape Harbour, as a
site for a wharf, for a term of fourteen years :
And whereas the said license was, with the consent of the
Minister of Marine, transferred to Mrs. Gladys May Lisle
(hereinafter called the licensee) :
And whereas the licensee has applied to have the herein-
before-recited Order in Council revoked, and it is desirable
to revoke the same :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority conferred upon him by the Harbours
Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling
him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council
of the sixteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and
twenty-eight, as from the thirty-first day of December, one
thousand nine hundred and thirty-eight.
