Land in Block XI, Paekakariki Survey District, taken for Railway Purposes.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the New Zealand Government Railways to take land in Block XI, Paekakariki Survey District, for railway purposes:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section eleven of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Town of Titahi Bay Extension No. 13.

Situated in Block XI, Paekakriki Survey District, Makara County.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 5482, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of January, 1939.

A

Altering the Boundaries of the Otago Mining District.

A PROCLAMATION,

WHEREAS by section eight of the Mining Act, 1926, it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time by Proclamation alter the boundaries of any mining district: And whereas it is desirable that the land specified in the Schedule hereto shall, subject to all existing registered mining privileges, be excluded from the Otago Mining District:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eight of the Mining Act, 1926, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, alter the boundaries of the Otago Mining District by excluding therefrom the land particularly described in the Schedule hereto, subject to all existing registered mining privileges.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods, being Section 12, Block V, Swinburn Survey District: Bounded towards the north-west by a public road, 1,222·5 links; towards the north-east and south-east by Section 11, 1,075·1 links and 806·9 links, respectively; and towards the south-west by Section 9 and aforesaid Section 11, 758·3 links and 951·8 links, respectively, be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on Plan No. N. 6/4/18, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Mines, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of January, 1939.
