Authorizing the Acquisition of Land notwithstanding the
Provisions as to Limitation of Area.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day
of May, 1939.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to section two hundred and forty-six of the
Native Land Act, 1931, and all other powers him
enabling, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
doth hereby authorize the disposition to, and the acquisition
by the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited,
of the land described in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding
the provisions of Part XII of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land containing 1 rood, more or less, being
Lot 3 on deposited plan 18692, Town of Waimauku Extension
No. 2, being part of Waikoukou No. 2A No. 3 Block, situate
in Block VII, Kumeu Survey District, and being the residue
of the land in Certificate of Title, Vol. 466, folio 66, Auckland
Registry.

Boundaries of Borough of Huntly and County of Waikato
altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day
of May, 1939.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and
thirty-six of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933,
a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying
that a certain area of land be excluded from the Borough
of Huntly and included in the County of Waikato:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make such alteration
of the boundaries of the said borough:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the said Municipal Cor-
porations Act, 1933, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, doth hereby declare that the area described
in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Borough
of Huntly and included in the County of Waikato.

SCHEDULE.
AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF HUNTLY AND
INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY OF WAIKATO.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, in the Borough
of Huntly, Block XVI, Rangiriri Survey District, containing
by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 19-6 perches, more or less,
being Lot 47 on plan number 4124, deposited in the office
of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, and part Lot 7
on plan number 11170, deposited as aforesaid, and being
parts of Allotment 52, Taupiri Parish, bounded as follows:
Commencing at the south-eastern corner of Lot 48 on afore-
said plan 4124; thence towards the west by Lot 48 afore-
said, 219-89 links; towards the south by Lots 48 and 49
on aforesaid plan 4124, 200 links; towards the west generally
by other part Lot 7 on aforesaid plan 11170, following lines
bearing 356° 58’ distance 135-19 links, bearing 6° 42’ distance
142-2 links, bearing 28° 24’ distance 527-57 links; and
towards the east by part Allotment 321, Taupiri Parish,
following a line bearing 356° 58’ distance 952-17 links;
and towards the south generally by Raynor's Road, 89-90
and 13-7 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked I.A. 103/5/17, deposited in the Department of
Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Constituting the Orepuki Rabbit District.--(Notice
No. Ag. 3661.)

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day
of May, 1939.
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section thirty of the Rabbit Nuisance
Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General
may, by Order in Council, on petition in that behalf signed
by a majority of the persons qualified to be enrolled on the
ratepayers list of any proposed district, constitute and declare
any area of land of not less than 1,000 acres a rabbit district
under and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act:
And whereas in pursuance of the provisions of the said
section thirty of the said Act a petition has been received
praying that the area of land described in the Schedule
hereto be constituted and declared a rabbit district under
and for the purposes of Part II of the said Act, and it is
deemed expedient to give effect to the prayer of the petition-
ers accordingly:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby
constitute by the specific name of the “Orepuki Rabbit
District” and declare that area of land defined in the Schedule
hereto to be a rabbit district under and for the purposes
of Part II of the said Act, and doth hereby further declare
that the basis on which the Board to be established for the
said district shall first levy its general rate shall be on the
basis of the acreage of the rateable property in the said
district.

SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE OREPUKI RABBIT DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing
54,500 acres, more or less, inclusive of roads, railways, and
streams, situated in Longwood Survey District, and bounded
as follows: Commencing at the south-western corner of
Section 16, Block XI, Longwood Survey District; thence in
a northerly direction along the western boundary of the
said Section 16 to and across a public road, the Riverton-
Orepuki Railway and another public road to the south-
western corner of Section 15, Block XI aforesaid; thence
along the western boundaries of Sections 15 and 21, Block
XI aforesaid, and Sections 12 and 18, Block X, Longwood
Survey District, to and across the Round Hill-Colac Road;
thence in a north-westerly direction along the south-western
boundary of Section 15, Block X aforesaid; thence north-
easterly along the north-western boundary of the said
Section 15 to and across a water-race reserve to Port's
Water-race; thence in a north-westerly direction along
the said water-race to the western boundary of Block X
aforesaid; thence in a northerly direction along the western
boundaries of Blocks X and IX, Longwood Survey District,
to the southern boundary of Block XIV, Longwood Survey
District; thence in a westerly direction along the southern
boundaries of Blocks XIV and XIII, Longwood Survey
District, to the south-western corner of Section 1, Block
XIII aforesaid; thence north-westerly, north-easterly, and
northerly generally along the western boundary of the
said Block XIII to the southern boundary of Block XXII,
Longwood Survey District; thence in a westerly direction
along the southern boundary of the said Block XXII to
the south-west corner thereof; thence in a northerly direc-
tion along the western boundary of Block XXII aforesaid,
to the north-western corner thereof; thence in an easterly
direction along the northern boundary of the said Block
XXII to the south-west corner of Block XIX, Longwood
Survey District; thence in a northerly direction along the
western boundary of the said Block XIX to the south-west
corner of Section 9, Block XIX aforesaid; thence in a north-
easterly direction along the south-eastern boundaries of
Sections 9 and 8, a public road, and Section 5, Block XIX
aforesaid, to the southern boundary of Block XIV, Waiau
Survey District; thence in a westerly direction along the
southern boundaries of Blocks XIV and XIII, Waiau Survey
District, to the eastern bank of the Waiau River; thence
in a south-westerly direction along the bank of the said
Waiau River, including Section 25, Block XV, Longwood
Survey District, to the ocean; thence in a south-easterly
direction generally along the coast-line to a point in line
with the western boundary of Section 16, Block XI, Long-
wood Survey District; thence in a northerly direction
to the point of commencement; save and excepting all
that area included in the Town of Hirstfield.
