ELECTION OF GOVERNORS.

I HEREBY declare that the following have been duly elected Governors of the Auckland Grammar School Board :—
Dr. Ernest Robertson, elected by the Senate of the University of New Zealand; Joseph Stanton, Esquire, elected by the members of the Legislative Council and the House of Representatives usually resident within the Provincial District of Auckland; Robert A. Rew, Esquire, elected by the Auckland Board of Education.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a public road—for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928. A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Waipa County Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

GLENROY GOLD, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of shareholders of Glenroy Gold, Limited, will be held in the Epworth Chambers, No. 176 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Friday, the 12th day of May, 1939, at 7.30 p.m., at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed; and that immediately following such meeting a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held at the same place, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at which meeting of creditors a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting and at which meeting the creditors in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, and their respective Amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, for street purposes at Ghuznee Street in the City of Wellington—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said City, and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work, or the taking of such land, should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

All that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington containing approximately .20 perches, being portion of Section 148, Town of Wellington, coloured blue on the plan above mentioned.

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY.

NOTICE is hereby given that Bellairs New Cash Orders, Limited, has changed its name to H. Bellairs, Limited, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

THE CARDIFF COAL COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special general meeting of shareholders of the Cardiff Coal Company, Limited, held on 23rd April, 1939, it was resolved that the company go into voluntary liquidation.

It was also resolved that FRANK SLEE, of Westport, be appointed the liquidator for the purpose of winding up the company.

Pursuant to section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the final general meeting of H. N. Maunder, Limited (in liquidation), will be held at the office of the liquidator, Mr. P. E. Patrick, A.M.P. Building, Wellington, on Monday, 22nd day of May, 1939, at 9.30 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purposes of :—

(1) Receiving the accounts and explanations of the liquidator.

(2) Submitting the following extraordinary resolution to the members :—

“That the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator be handed to Zip Heaters, Limited, Wellington.”
