I HEREBY give notice that by an order of the Supreme Court, Christchurch, dated 26th April, 1939, I was appointed administrator of the estate of the abovenamed, and I hereby call a meeting of creditors to be held at my office in the Old Provincial Building, Durham Street, Christchurch, on Thursday, the 4th day of May, 1939, at 10.30 a.m. All claims against the above estate must be lodged with me on or before the 26th June, 1939.

In the matter of the Administration Act, 1908, and its amendments, and in the matter of the Estate of PERCY STARKEY, of Tauranga, in the Provincial District of Auckland, Orchardist, but now deceased.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Public Trustee of the Dominion of New Zealand, on the 19th April, 1939, pursuant to the powers in that behalf conferred upon him by section 62 of the above-mentioned Act, filed a certificate in this honourable Court electing to administer the above estate under Part IV of the said Act, and that the said estate will, as from the said date, be administered, realized, and distributed in accordance with the law and practice of bankruptcy.
Notice is further given that I do hereby summon a meeting of creditors of the above estate to be held at the Courthouse, Tauranga, on Monday, the 1st day of May, 1939, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon.
Notice is finally given that all creditors, whether they have already submitted their claims or not, are required to prove their claims within the time and in the manner provided by the Bankruptcy Act, 1908. Proof-of-debt forms may be procured at my office.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL RESOLUTION.
Workmens’ Cottages Loan, 1938.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,200, authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting new cottages and making additions to existing cottages for county surfacemen, the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of one penny in the £1 on the unimproved rating value of all rateable property in the County of Cook, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be three per cent.”

HOROWHENUA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Horowhenua Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £26,000, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing electric works within the meaning of and pursuant to the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, the said Horowhenua Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of one penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Horowhenua Electric-power District comprising the whole of the Horowhenua Electric-power District as defined in the Proclamation proclaiming the said district appearing in the New Zealand Gazette of the 1st day of December, 1921, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting held in the Secretary’s Office, Hokianga Road, Dargaville, on Tuesday, the 18th April, 1939, the following resolution was passed:—
“That the Northern Wairoa Co-operative Rural Intermediate Credit Association, Limited, be wound up voluntarily, and that COLIN HUGH PURDIE, Esquire, A.R.A.N.Z., of Whangarei, be appointed liquidator.”
