Land in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 11th April, 1939.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section
will be offered for sale by public auction for cash
at the Lands Office, Tauranga, at 11 o'clock a.m.,on Thursday,
1st June, 1939, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Tauranga County.—Te Papa Parish.

SECTION 139 : Area, 46 acres l rood 26 perches. Upset
price, £25.

This is an unimproved section situated approximately
nine miles from Tauranga Post-office, Railway-station, Dairy
Factory, and Saleyards, and three miles and a half from
Tauriko School; access is by metalled and pumice-surfaced
road from Tauranga. Easy undulating to hilly country in
fern, scrub, and gorse, with a small area of swamp. Not
suitable as a separate holding but would make a useful
addition to an adjoining holding.

Land in Taranaki Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.

District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 26th April, 1939.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property
is open for selection on optional tenures under the
Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the
District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to
noon on Monday, 22nd May, 1939.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on
Wednesday, 24th May, 1939, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but
if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by
any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown
Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when
examined documentary evidence of their financial position,
such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from
managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms,
or from private persons or parents undertaking to give
financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially
should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and
supply guarantees of their own financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of
the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant
is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a
deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period
rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Waitomo County.—Mapara Survey District.

SUBSECTION 1 of Section 4, Block X: Area, 7 acres 3 roods
17·5 perches. Capital value, £15. Deposit on deferred
payments, £5. Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments,
6s. 6d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 6s.

Weighted with £165 (payable in cash) for improvements,
comprising dwelling, garage, shed, 18 chains fencing, 5 acres
felled and grassed.

This property is situated on the Ellis Road, one mile from
Mangapehi Post-office, School, and Railway-station. Access
is by metalled road.

The soil is light pumice loam on clay and sandstone
formation. All level land, cut by Mangapehi Stream. The
area is suitable for a residential-site where a few cows could
be run to augment the selector’s income.

is open for selection on renewable lease; and applications
will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office,
Invercargill, up to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 6th June, 1939.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the District Lands and Survey Office, Invercargill, on Thursday,
8th June, 1939, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant
is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land
Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when
examined documentary evidence of their financial position,
such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from
managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms,

and is offered in terms of section 153 of the Land Act, 1924,
which provides that no right to any mineral under the surface
shall pertain to the lessee, whose rights shall be to the surface

Wallace County.—Longwood Survey District.—Otago Mining
District.

SECTION 22 and part Section 14, Block X: Area, 213 acres
0 roods 13 perches. Capital value, £215; half-yearly rent,
£4 6s.

Weighted with £180 (payable in cash) for improvements,
comprising felling, stumping, and fencing.

This property is situated one mile and a half from Colac
Post-office and Railway-station and two miles and a half from
Longwood Dairy Factory; access is by good, level, gravelled
road. Easy undulating land, partly broken, of light to fair
quality loam; permanently watered by streams and springs.
Approximately 67 acres have been felled and burnt, of which
7 acres have been stumped and cultivated and 60 acres surface
sown.

MAORI LAND NOTICE.

Native Lands for Lease by Public Tender.

NOTICE is hereby given in terms of the Native Land
Act, 1931, and its amendments and the regulations
thereunder, that written tenders will be received at the
office of the Aotea District Maori Land Board, Wanganui,
up to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the 16th day of May, 1939, for leases
of the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, subject
to the terms and conditions set out in the Second Schedule
hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

Lot 1.—Description: Subdivision 8 of Section 3A, Block
XI, Tauakira Survey District, being part of Ohotu No. 1
Block.

Subdivision 9 of Section 3A Block XI, Tauakira Survey

Upset annual rental: £18 14s. 5d.
Improvements: Existing improvements to the value of
£368 belong to the Board.
