NOTICE is hereby given that the matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written will be heard by the Native Land Court sitting at Hastings on the 10th day of May, 1939, or as soon thereafter as the business of the Court will allow.

Appointment of Agent of the Public Trust Office at Whakatane.

IT is notified for public information that Mr. John George Mulholland has been appointed to the position of agent of the Public Trust Office at Whakatane, vice Mr. F. Prideaux. Dated at Wellington, this 19th day of April, 1939.

Notice to Mariners No. 22 of 1939.

NEW ZEALAND.—SOUTH ISLAND.—GREYMOUTH.
Alterations in White Leading Beacons.

Position : Lat., 42° 26′ S. ; long., 171° 12′ E. (approx.).

Alterations : The colour of the white leading beacons will be changed to orange and a black diamond shape erected on each side of the front beacon at a distance of 7 ft., from the centre-line; a black triangle, apex down, will be painted on the rear beacon.

A red neon light consisting of two 4 ft. tubes, vertically disposed, will be exhibited in the centre-line of each diamond shape.

The existing green light on the front and rear beacons will be replaced by a green neon light consisting of three 6 ft. tubes vertically disposed in the centre-line.

The black shapes and red neon lights in line with the rear beacon and light define the navigable width of the channel at the entrance.

The alterations will be brought into force on the 3rd May.
