Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the
Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936,
Section 3.

N terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment
Act, 1936, the Minister of Transport does hereby declare
the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely
populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the
intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road,
street, or other place to which the public have access therein,
shall be subject to the maximum speed-limit of thirty miles
an hour fixed by the said section.

SCHEDULE.
Situated within Hawke's Bay County-
All that area consisting of the Napier-Hastings via Fernhill
Main Highway No. 28 (commencing at the south-western
boundary of Napier Borough, as now constituted, and
terminating at a point 2 chains measured along the said
main highway in a south-westerly direction from its
junction with Riverbend Road, a distance of approximately 45 chains).

Multi-axled Heavy Motor-vehicle under the Heavy Motor-
vehicle Regulations, 1932.

THE Minister of Transport does hereby approve as a
multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle under the Heavy
Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, any heavy motor-vehicle
of the class or type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
FIVE-AXLED motor-vehicle described as comprising Leyland
Cub Chassis KZDX2 with Isaacson Twin Tube Tandem
Trailer, when conforming with the respective plan which is
numbered 667 and is deposited in the offices of the Transport
Department, Wellington.

Classification of Road in Otamatea County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him
by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the
Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, the Minister of
Transport does hereby declare that the road described in
the Schedule hereto, and situated in the Otamatea County,
shall belong to the class of road shown in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
OTAMATEA COUNTY.
Road classified in Class Four: Available for the use thereon
of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy
motor-vehicle) which with the load it is carrying weighs not
more than 5 tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle
which when carrying a load has an axle weight of not more
than 3 tons on any one axle:-
Ruawai Wharf Main Highway No. 580.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under
Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Retail Sale of Motor-spirit.

HEREBY give notice that an application has been received
from J. A. Morris for a license to sell (retail) motor-
spirit from two pumps proposed to be installed at a new
service station in Hamilton Street, East Gore.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by
the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and
who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish
such representations in writing, so as to reach the under-
signed not later than the 18th April, 1939. All representations
must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and
the nature of the business conducted by the person making
the representations.

HEREBY give notice that an application has been received
from the Fort Rubber Store Limited, Christchurch, for a
license to carry on the industry of the manufacture of rubber
tires and tubes (for cycles only).

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by
the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and
who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish
such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned
not later than the 13th April, 1939.
