RESULT OF POLL.

P URSUANT to section 42 of the Rating Act, 1925, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Patea taken on the 14th day of March, 1939, on the proposal that the system of rating in the said borough be on the unimproved value :- Votes. The number of votes recorded for the proposal was . . 97 The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 213 I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected. E. F. HEMINGWAY, Mayor. MACKENZIE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

T N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Mackenzie County Council hereby resolves as follows : - "That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £17,000 authorized to be raised by the Mackenzie County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a high-pressure water-supply and underground drainage for the Township of Fairlie, the said Mackenzie County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1·4 pence in the pound, upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the Fairlie Township Special Rating Area, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five years or until the loan shall have been fully paid off." Notice of Voluntary Winding Up. N OTICE is hereby given that at a special general meeting of the shareholders of New Zealand Concrete Pipe and Products, Limited, held at the registered office of the company, Kahikatea, Greymouth, on 20th March, 1939, it was resolved as a special resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that ERIC SOUTER, of Greymouth, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator. ROXBURGH BOROUGH COUNCIL. RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE. T N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Roxburgh Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :- "That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £550, authorized to be raised by the Roxburgh Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the borough share of the tar-sealing of the highways through the borough, the said Roxburgh Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of threepence farthing (3d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Roxburgh and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 24th day of August and 24th day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off." WAIHI GRAND JUNCTION GOLD COMPANY, LIMITED. IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1929, and in the matter of the WAIHI GRAND JUNCTION GOLD COMPANY, LIMITED. N OTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above- named company, which is being voluntarily wound up, are required on or before the 25th day of April, 1939, being the day for that purpose fixed by the undersigned THOMAS JENNINGS FOORD, of 4 Lloyd's Avenue, London, E.C. 3, the liquidator of the said company, to send their names and addresses and particulars of their debts or claims and the names and addresses of their solicitors, if any, to the under- signed, and if so required by notice in writing from me the said liquidator, are by their solicitors to come in and prove their said debts or claims at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved.
