Position : 031° 0·8 miles from north-western extremity of Ohau (Ohaos) point. Lat., 41° 13′·8 S.; long., 174° 40′·9 E. (approx.).
Details : A shoal with a depth of 6 fathoms M.L.W.S. and depths of about 18 fathoms close around exists in the above position.

Existence of Beacon.
Position : Slope point Trig. 098° 6·5 miles from Waipapapa lighthouse. Lat., 46° 40′·5 S.; long., 169° 01′·2 E. (approx.).
Details : A white triangular-shaped beacon about 16 ft. high exists in the above position at an elevation of 87 ft.
Note.—Slope point and the reef as shown on charts, lie about 3 cables eastward of the beacon.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, at 2.30 o’clock p.m. on Monday, 1st May, 1939, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

Town Land in Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.
Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned property is open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 11 o’clock a.m. on Monday, 24th April, 1939.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at the Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 26th April, 1939, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

Kawhia County.—Te Puru Township.
Section 31, Block II : Area, 1 rood 30 perches. Capital value, £20 ; half-yearly rent, 10s.
The Te Puru Township adjoins the Town of Kawhia, on the west coast, approximately forty miles from Te Awamutu and Otorohanga. The section which faces east and commands a good view of the Kawhia Harbour, is at present covered with gorse, blackberry, and rubbish, but will make a fair building-site when cleared.
