The Town-planning Act, 1926.—Preparation of Scheme by Southland County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 18th day of January, 1939.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Southland County Council is the responsible authority within the meaning of the Town-planning Act, 1926, of a certain rural area as defined in the said Act—namely, the Southland County:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor-General is of opinion that settlement is taking place within a certain defined area within the rural area aforesaid—namely, the defined area described in the Schedule hereto commonly known as the Township of Prestonville—at such a rate that the preparation of an extra-urban planning scheme is deemed advisable in the public interest:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section twenty-five of the Town-planning Act, 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby require the Southland County Council to prepare and submit to the Town-planning Board before the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, an extra-urban planning scheme in respect of the said area described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District bounded on the west by the western side of the Main North Road from the southern side of Preston Street to the northern side of Bainfield Road; thence by the northern side of Bainfield Road to the eastern side of Ellis Road; thence southerly by the eastern side of Ellis Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 2, on Deposited Plan 2485; thence to and along that boundary to the eastern side of the road along the Waihopai River; thence southerly by the eastern side of that road to a point in line with the southern side of Preston Street; thence to and by the southern side of Preston Street to the western side of the Main North Road, the place of commencement.

Appointment of Members of the Pharmacy Plan Industrial Committee under the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
WHEREAS a plan for the organization of the pharmacy industry has been approved in accordance with section 9 of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936:
Now, therefore, I, Daniel Giles Sullivan, Minister of Industries and Commerce, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the said Act, and being of the opinion that the appointment is desirable of a special committee to assist in carrying out the provisions of the said plan, do hereby appoint a committee to be known as the Pharmacy Plan Industrial Committee, and do hereby appoint the following persons to be the members thereof:—
George Proudfoot Adams, Pharmacist, 58 Willis Street, Wellington.
Douglas Scott Dodds, Pharmacist, 195 Papanui Road, Christchurch.
