MURCHISON COUNTY COUNCIL.—SPECIAL ORDER.

In exercise of the powers vested in it by section 2 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, the Murchison County Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—

“ That sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, shall not apply to the Murchison County.”

THE following special order made by the Glen Eden Town Board on the 28th day of February, 1939, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

THAT in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Glen Eden Town Board hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto (being plants mentioned in the Second Schedule to the said Act) are noxious weeds within the Town District of Glen Eden.

Gorse (Ulex europaeus).
Hakea (Hakea acicularis).

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Hastings Borough Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto (being plants mentioned in the Second Schedule to the said Act, as extended from time to time by the Governor-General in Council) are noxious weeds within the Borough of Hastings.

Bathhurst burr (Xanthium spinosum).
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Star thistle (Centaurea).
Winged thistle (Carduus pycnocephalus).

The Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925.—Notice of Proposed Cancellation of Registration.

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Finegand Freezing Workers’ Industrial Union of Workers, registered number 1371, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 22 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.
