MEMBERS’ VOLUNTARY WINDING UP.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of ADJUSTAFLO LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given that on the 12th day of December, 1939, the above-mentioned company passed the following resolution as a special resolution:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily forthwith, and that MR. VAL. KIRK, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be, and is hereby appointed liquidator for such winding up.”

All persons and firms having claims against the above company are requested to lodge same with the liquidator before 20th January, 1940.

AUCKLAND EDUCATION BOARD.

Notice under the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of a public school, the following land—namely, all that piece of land situated in the Provincial District of Auckland containing 4 acres 20 perches, more or less, being part of Whakamarama No. 1c No. 1a No. 5 Block.

A plan of the land is deposited at the post-office at Whakamarama and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.

All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Education Board of the District of Auckland at its office in Wellesley Street, Auckland.

THE GRUAR HARDWARE COMPANY, LIMITED.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of THE GRUAR HARDWARE COMPANY, LIMITED, a company duly incorporated and having its registered office at Victoria Street, Hamilton.

NOTICE is hereby given that an order of the Supreme Court dated the 4th day of December, 1939, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £6,000 to £2,000 and the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the above-mentioned Act, were registered by the Registrar of Companies on the 11th day of December, 1939. The said minute is in the words and figures following:—

“The capital of the Gruar Hardware Company, Limited, is £2,000 divided into 6,000 shares of 6s. 8d. each, instead of the original capital of £6,000 divided into 6,000 shares of £1 each. At the time of the registration of this minute the full sum of 6s. 8d. has been and is to be deemed to be paid up on each of the said shares of 6s. 8d.”

NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the above company will be held at the offices of Messrs. Forsyth, Barr, and Co., fifth floor, New Zealand Express Company’s Building, Bond Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 12th day of January, 1940, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted, and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.
