In the matter of Letters Patent No. 52376 granted to STEPHEN JOHN AVERY, of Sanson, Manawatu, New Zealand, Dairy-farmer, and bearing date the 17th day of June, 1924, in respect of “Improvements in or relating to Milking Machine Systems.”

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the above-named Stephen John Avery to present a petition to the Supreme Court of New Zealand praying that the term of the said Letters Patent may be extended. And notice is hereby further given that at 10 a.m. on the 15th day of March, 1940, or on such subsequent day as the Court shall appoint for that purpose, application will be made to the Court at Wellington that a day may be fixed before which the petition will not be heard, and any person desirous of being heard in opposition to the said petition must lodge notice of his objection at the Registry of the said Court at Wellington on or before the said 15th day of March, 1940.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties’ Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kairanga County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and of all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction and widening of roads on parts of Rural Sections 434, 436, 543, and 546, Block VI, Kairanga Survey District—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Kairanga County Council situate at Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands, who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands, must set forth their objections in writing and send such writing within forty days from Friday, the 15th day of December, 1939 (being the date of the first publication of this notice) to the said Kairanga County Council, addressed to the County Clerk at the County Office, Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North.
