Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of One Tree Hill, the Borough of Ellerslie, the County of Eden, and the Mount Wellington Road District of the County of Eden.
Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 14th December, 1939.
Pursuant to the provisions of section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Borough of One Tree Hill are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by an Order in Council (hereinafter called the first Order in Council) made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, dated the 21st day of June, 1939, and published in Gazette No. 46 of the 22nd day of June, 1939, at page 1857, and an Order in Council (hereinafter called the second Order in Council) dated the 21st day of June, 1939, and published in Gazette No. 46 of the 22nd day of June, 1939, at page 1857:
And also in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147, the boundaries of the County of Eden, as affected by the first Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto:
And in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147, the boundaries of the Mount Wellington Road District of the County of Eden, as affected by the first Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto:
And in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147, the boundaries of the Borough of Ellerslie, as affected by the second Order in Council, are hereby defined as set out in the Fourth Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF ONE TREE HILL.
All that area in the North Auckland Land District, bounded, towards the north-east by the north-eastern side of the Great South Road from its junction with the Manukau Road to a point in line with the south-eastern side of Waiohina Street; thence south-westerly along that line to the south-western side of the Great South Road; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of the Great South Road to Hamlin’s Creek at St. Anne’s Bridge; thence towards the south generally by Hamlin’s Creek and Manukau Harbour to the south-eastern corner of the Borough of Onehunga; thence towards the south-west generally by the Borough of Onehunga to the eastern side of Manukau Road; thence northerly along the eastern side of Manukau Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Allotment 35 of Section 10, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by that line to the western boundary of Manukau Road; thence northerly along the western side of Manukau Road to its junction with the Great South Road; thence by a right line to the north-eastern side of the Great South Road, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF EDEN.
All that area in the North Auckland Land District, bounded, towards the north generally by Waitemata Harbour from the Whau River to the Tamaki River; thence towards the east generally by the Tamaki River and the Otahuhu Creek to Portage Road; thence towards the south by Portage Road to Manukau Harbour; thence towards the west and again towards the south by Manukau Harbour to the Borough of Onehunga; thence by that borough and again by Manukau Harbour to the western side of Portage Road to Karaka Bay; thence towards the west by the western side of Portage Road to the Borough of New Lynn; thence by the Borough of New Lynn to the Whau Bridge; thence across and by the Whau River to Waitemata Harbour, the place of commencement; excluding therefrom the City of Auckland and the Boroughs of Newmarket, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, One Tree Hill, and Ellerslie.

THIRD SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE MOUNT WELLINGTON ROAD DISTRICT OF THE COUNTY OF EDEN.
All that area in the North Auckland Land District, bounded, on the north generally by the City of Auckland from a point in the middle of Lake Road in line with the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 26, Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, to the Tamaki River; thence by the Tamaki River and the Otahuhu Creek to a point in line with the northern side of Portage Road; thence by the northern side of that road and its production across the North Island Main Trunk Railway, to Manukau Harbour; thence by Manukau Harbour and Hamlin’s Creek to St. Anne’s Bridge; thence to and along the south-western side of the Great South Road to a point in line with the production of the southern side of Penrose Road; thence by a right line to the intersection of the north-eastern side of the Great South Road, with the northern side of Penrose Road; thence to and along the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 33 and 28 to the Ellerslie-Panmure Road; thence across that road, and by the western side of Lake Road to the easternmost corner of Allotment 26, Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland; thence along the production of Lake Road to the easternmost boundary of the said Allotment 26 to the middle of Lake Road, the point of commencement; excepting from the above-described area the lands and highways comprised within the boundaries of the Township of Panmure, excepting so much of the main road called or known by the name of the Panmure and Howick Road as traverses the said township.

FOURTH SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF ELLERSLIE.
All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the junction of roads opposite the old site of the Harp of Erin Inn, at a point on the line between Standard Survey Blocks, M. 753 (Great South Road) and M. 752 (Wairaki Street) and distant 113 links from the first-mentioned standard; thence towards the north generally by a right line from that point to the south-western corner of Allotment 25 of Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, and by Allotments 25, 34, 12a, and 26A, all of Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, to Lake Road; thence towards the east generally by Lake Road aforesaid, the crossing of the Ellerslie-Panmure Road to the north-western corner of Allotment 28 of aforesaid Section 12, and by Allotments 28 and 33 of aforesaid Section 12, to the Penrose-Panmure Road; thence by that road to the north-eastern side of the Great South Road; thence by a right line to a point on the south-western side of the Great South Road, in line with the production of the southern side of Penrose Road; thence north-westerly along the south-western side of the Great South Road to the south-eastern side of Waiohina Street; thence by the production of the south-eastern side of Waiohina Street to the north-eastern side of the Great South Road; thence by the north-eastern side of the Great South Road to the point of commencement.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block IX, Ranganga Survey District, for the Purpose of a Surf aceman’s Cottage.
Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a surfaceman’s cottage—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Rangitaki and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Approximate area of the piece of land required to be taken: 5 acres 2 roods.
Being portion of Section 1, Block IX, Ranganga Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 30242.)
In the Auckland Land District: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 103912, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
