Validating Proceedings in connection with the Dannevirke Electric-power Board's Loan of £35,000.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of December, 1939.
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the Dannevirke Electric-power Board is proceeding by way of special order pursuant to section fifteen of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, to raise a loan of thirty-five thousand pounds (£35,000) to be known as "Reticulation Loan, 1938" (hereinafter called "the said loan"):
And whereas the proceedings in connection with the said loan have been irregular or defective in that the public notice of the resolution to make the special order authorizing the raising of the loan did not contain a statement of the rate which it was proposed to strike as security for the said loan:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers of the district have not been misled by such irregularity as aforesaid and it is expedient to validate the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and twenty-two of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the said public notice had been correctly given, and that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan, or of the security for the said loan, shall not be called in question by reason only of the irregularity or defect aforesaid.

WHEREAS the Waitomo Electric-power Board is proceeding by way of special order pursuant to section fifteen of the Finance Act (No. 2), 1936, to raise a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) to be known as "Reticulation Loan, 1938" (hereinafter called "the said loan"):

Declaring Portions of Road in Block VI, Kumeu Survey District, to be Government Road.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of December, 1939.

His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.

The South-eastern Side of Portion of a Road in the County of Halswell, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 13th day of December, 1939.

The Hon. W. Nash Presiding in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Halswell County Council, viz.:—
"The Halswell County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads in the County of Halswell, by resolution dated the seventeenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, hereby declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the south-eastern side of the road reserve following the Halswell River and fronting part of Certificate of Title, Volume 153, folio 269, Christchurch Registry Office, being App. Plan No. 7166s, part of Rural Section 726";
subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-eastern side of the portion of road (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of sixty-six feet from the north-western boundary of the said portion of road.
SCHEDULE.
THE south-eastern side of all that portion of road, situated in the Canterbury Land District, County of Halswell, fronting part Rural Section 726, Block II, Halswell Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 105632, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
