THE EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF SOUTHLAND.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Education Act, 1914, and of the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Southland proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the establishment of a public school—and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said Education Board situated in Tay Street, Invercargill, and is open for inspection by all persons (without fee) during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days of the first publication of this notice to the said Education Board at its office in Tay Street, Invercargill aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.

First all that piece of land situated in the Hundred of Invercargill containing two (2) roods two and four-tenths (2·4) poles, be the same a little more or less, being Lot fourteen (14) on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Invercargill aforesaid, as No. 696, and being also part of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, entered in Register-book at Invercargill aforesaid, Volume 133, folio 164, and all the land comprised and described in Memorandum of Lease, registered No. 7431, made between His Majesty the King of the one part and Arthur Stewart Russell of Invercargill, Motor Importer, of the other part.

Secondly all that piece of land situate in the said Hundred of Invercargill, containing thirty-five (35) poles, be the same a little more or less, being Lot two (2) on plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Invercargill aforesaid, as No. 2537, and being also part of the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, entered in Register-book at Invercargill aforesaid, Volume 133, folio 164, and the whole of the land comprised and described in Memorandum of Lease, registered No. 7423, made between His Majesty the King of the one part and the said Arthur Stewart Russell of the other part.

Dated at Invercargill aforesaid, this 4th day of December, 1939.

WELLINGTON HOSPITAL BOARD.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND IN THE CITY OF WELLINGTON FOR HOSPITAL PURPOSES.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Wellington Hospital Board under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for hospital purposes: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so to be taken is deposited at the offices of Messrs. Brandon, Ward, Hislop, and Powles, Solicitors, of 150 Featherston Street, Wellington, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of such land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington Hospital Board at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

Approximate areas of the pieces of land to be taken:—

  1. 2 roods 31·52 perches, being part of Sections 759 and 760 on the public map of the Town of Wellington, being the land firstly described in Certificate of Title, Volume 351, folio 277, subject to the right-of-way over the same created by Transfers Nos. 165946 and 166534, subject to conditions of consent as to right-of-way registered as K. No. 1935.

  2. One undivided moiety in 3·3 perches, being other part of Section 760 on the public map of the Town of Wellington, being the land secondly described in the said certificate of Title, Volume 351, folio 277.

  3. 28·37 perches, being part of Section 759 on the public map of the Town of Wellington, being Lot 3 on deposited plan 6898, and being all the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 320, folio 282.

Together with the right-of-way over part of Lots 1, 2, and 4 on deposited plan 6898, created by Transfer No. 179204; and subject to the rights-of-way created by Transfers Nos. 167766, 167767, and 179204; subject also to conditions of consent as to rights-of-way registered as K. 2756.

This notice cancels and is in substitution for notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 16th November, 1939.

This notice was first published on the 7th day of December, 1939.
