SPECIAL AREA.

Alteration of Boundary.

In the matter of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment, 1922, and in the matter of the Special Area defined by resolution of the Board dated the 17th day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37 dated the 26th day of April, 1923, and as altered under the provisions of section 5, Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1922, by resolutions of the Christchurch Drainage Board dated the 15th day of February, 1927, the 21st day of June, 1927, the 16th day of April, 1930, the 16th day of February, 1932, the 21st day of March, 1933, the 19th day of November, 1935, the 26th day of May, 1936, the 25th day of June, 1936, the 22nd day of June, 1937, the 23rd day of November, 1937, the 22nd day of March, 1938, the 27th day of September, 1938, and the 28th day of March, 1939, and published in the New Zealand Gazettes Nos. 11, 54, 37, 14, 23, 89, 40, 46, 42, 2, 26, 13, and 23 of the 3rd day of March, 1927, the 28th day of July, 1927, the 22nd day of May, 1930, the 25th day of February, 1932, the 6th day of April, 1933, the 5th day of December, 1935, the 18th day of June, 1936, the 16th day of July, 1936, the 8th day of July, 1937, the 20th day of January, 1938, the 31st day of March, 1938, the 2nd day of March, 1939, and the 13th day of April, 1939, respectively, known as the Sewer Extension Loan Special Area.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in it by the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment, 1922, section 5, subsection (f), the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves that the boundaries of the Special Area hereinbefore described, and defined, shall be further altered so as to include in the said Special Area all those areas more particularly described in the Schedules hereto; and further resolves that the said areas shall form part of and be included in the Subdivision “B” of the said Special Area and that the boundaries of the said Subdivision “B” shall be altered accordingly so as to include all those areas more particularly described in the Schedules hereto.

SCHEDULE 1.

Heathcote.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 32 perches, more or less, and being part Lots 3 and 4, plan No. 7847, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch, and being part of Rural Section 54, situated in Block XV, Christchurch Survey District, being the whole of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 440, folio 116, Canterbury Registry.

SCHEDULE 2.

Heathcote.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 3 roods 18 perches, more or less, and being Lots 2, 3, 4, and 5, plan No. 7811, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch, and being part of Rural Section 73, situated in Block XV, Christchurch Survey District, being the whole of the land comprised in Certificates of Title, Volume 391, folio 6, Volume 413, folio 81, Volume 413, folio 80, Volume 379, folio 286, respectively, Canterbury Registry.

SCHEDULE 3.

Riccarton.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District containing by admeasurement 1 rood 28·9 perches, more or less, and being part Lots 24 and 39, plan No. 201, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch, and being part of Rural Section 56, situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised in Certificate of Title, Volume 387, folio 232, Canterbury Registry.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Drainage Loan, 1939, No. 1, £22,000.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers in that behalf enabling it thereunto, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-two thousand pounds, authorized to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing sewers in the special loan area, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixteen-five-hundred-and-twelfths (16/512ths) of a penny in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property in the special area defined by resolution of the Christchurch Drainage Board dated the 17th day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37 of the 26th day of April, 1923, and as amended from time to time under the provisions of section 5 of the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment, 1922, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Drainage Loan, 1939, No. 2, £9,200.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers in that behalf enabling it thereunto, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of nine thousand two hundred pounds (£9,200), authorized to be raised by the Christchurch Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of improving the stormwater drainage in the subdistrict of Rural Riccarton as defined under section 44 of the Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1907, the said Christchurch Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-one-hundred-and-twenty-eighths (5/128ths) of a penny in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property of the subdistrict of Rural Riccarton, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 27th day of November, 1939, the following special resolution was duly passed:—

“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”

And notice is also given that at the same meeting, I, the undersigned, JAMES HUTCHINS, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, was appointed liquidator of the said company.
