and that a meeting of creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, at Everybody’s Hall, Tay Street, Invercargill, on Thursday, the 7th day of December, 1939, at 10.30 o’clock in the forenoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.

BOROUGH OF OTAHUHU.

MUNICIPAL BLOCK LOAN, 1937.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,700, authorized to be raised by the Otahuhu Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing the land adjoining the Council Chambers being part of Allotment 3 of Section 4, Village of Otahuhu, containing 2 roods, and known as the Glasgow House Block, the Otahuhu Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the district comprising the whole of the Borough of Otahuhu; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF SUMNER.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Sumner Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized to be raised by the Sumner Borough Council of Sumner, New Zealand, under the above-mentioned Act, and section 17 of the Local Legislation Act, 1939, for the purpose of completing the works for which the Sumner Drainage Loan of two thousand one hundred pounds (£2,100) was raised, and for connecting the south-east portion of the Esplanade, the septic-tanks in Head, Euston, Hardwicke, Stoke, and Grafton Streets with the Esplanade sewer, the said Sumner Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal point two of a penny (.2d.) in the pound on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Sumner Drainage Extension Loan area (which area was more particularly defined in the Schedule to the special order relating to the Sumner Drainage Extension Loan of £2,100, confirmed at a special meeting of the said Sumner Borough Council held on the 15th day of September, 1937); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the fourth day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of an extract from the minutes of the Sumner Borough Council held on Monday, the 27th day of November, 1939.
