Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Manufacture of Rubber Tires and Tubes.
I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from the undermentioned for licenses to carry on the industry of the “manufacture of rubber tires and tubes for all types of vehicles”:-
(1) G. W. Skellerup, Christchurch.
(2) R. G. Buckleton, Wellington (on behalf of the Triumph Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., to be formed).
(3) The Goodyear Tyre and Rubber Co. of N.Z., Ltd., Wellington.
(4) The Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. of N.Z., Ltd., Wellington.
(5) The Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., England.
(6) The Olympic Tyre and Rubber Co., Ltd., Australia.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 23rd March, 1939.

Retail Sale of Motor-spirit.
I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—
(1) H. N. Jackson for permission to move three petrol pumps from the side of premises in Broadway, to a new position in front of the building so as to form a drive-through service station, Kaikohe.
(2) J. A. Edwards on behalf of the Sunshine Service Station Limited, a company to be formed, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit from five petrol pumps proposed to be installed on a new service station at the corner of Ruahine and Featherston Streets, Palmerston North.
(3) A. Bettiol, for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit from one pump proposed to be installed at his store at Omoto.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 21st March, 1939. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.

Excluding Land from the Whakatohea Development Scheme.
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby varies the notice dated the 18th day of December, 1930, and published in the Gazette No. 90 of the 23rd day of December, 1930, declaring various subdivisions of the Opape Block and other blocks to be subject to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1929 (now Part I of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936), by excluding therefrom the Native land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of Native land in the Waiariki Native Land Court District, situate in Block V, Opotiki Survey District, and known as Lot 388B, Parish of Waiotahe, containing 32 acres 8 perches, more or less.
