  1. INDUCTIVE INTERFERENCE.

Nothing in this license shall authorize the erection of any electric line whether or not shown on plan P.W.D. 100620 in any location in which it would or might cause inductive interference with any telegraph or telephone line belonging to the Post and Telegraph, the New Zealand Government Railways, or the Public Works Departments, unless adequate provision is made for limitation of such inductive interference to the satisfaction of the Minister in Charge of the Department affected.

Authorizing the Karamea Co-operative Dairy Factory Company, Limited, to erect certain Electric Lines in Portion of the County of Buller.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 8th day of March, 1939.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Karamea Co-operative Dairy Factory Company, Limited (a company duly incorporated under the Companies Act, 1933, and having its registered office at Karamea) (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on the following conditions.

CONDITIONS.

  1. PURPOSES OF LINES.

The said lines may be used for lighting, power, and heating purposes.

  1. LICENSEE TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.

The licensee hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 1935, the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.

The conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this license, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

If at any future date electric supply is made available at a pressure of 230 volts, the premises covered by this license must be re-wired in steel conduit.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.

The system of supply shall be classified in accordance with paragraph (j) of clause 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935. The voltage of transmission over the lines hereby authorized shall be approximately 32 volts direct current.

  1. DURATION OF LICENSE.

Unless sooner determined, this license shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1959, or until electrical energy is available from an Electric-power Board or other general public source, whichever is the earlier.

  1. CHARGES ON SALE.

The charges for electrical supply shall not exceed 1s. 3d. per unit, reducible to 1s. per unit if paid within fourteen days after rendering of account for same, or, alternatively, a flat rate of 7s. 6d. per month per dwelling.

SCHEDULE.

Lines adapted for supply as prescribed in these presents for the transmission of electricity leading from the licensee’s premises situated in Section 19, Block XIV, Opurara Survey District, (a) in a westerly direction to a dwellinghouse also situated in the said Section 19, and (b) in a southerly direction across a public road known as Ward Street to two dwelling-houses situated in Section 26 ; all being situated in Block XIV, Opurara Survey District, in the Land District of Nelson, and shown by means of double red lines on plan marked P.W.D. 100161, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Authorizing the Mangonui County Council to erect Electric Lines in Portion of the Township of Mangonui, Mangonui County.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Mangonui County Council (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on the following conditions.

McKay’s Hall, situated in Part Lot 16, Township of Mangonui, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally across a public road, along the licensee’s new concrete wharf and terminating at the goods-shed on that wharf, all in the Mangonui Survey District, in the North Auckland Land District; the said lines being shown by means of black lines on plan marked P.W.D. 101461, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
