AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £37,700, authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a further sum being ten per centum of the Works Loan, 1936 (£377,700) authorized by a poll taken on the 25th day of June, 1936, for drainage and street works within the City area, extension of Nelson Street, and purchase of necessary land therefor, erection of public conveniences, cleaning and relining watermains, construction of waterworks reservoir and depot, abattoir administrative block, and cost of raising loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-tenths (3/10ths) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Certified to be a true and correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 26th day of October, 1939.

MAORILAND OILFIELDS, LIMITED.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of MAORILAND OILFIELDS, LIMITED.
NOTICE is hereby given that the above-named company by resolution passed on 30th October, 1939, went into voluntary liquidation and appointed the undersigned as liquidator.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore existing between EDWARD WILFRED ALKER and GERALD GRAHAM MCALISTER, carrying on business at Kent Street, Frankton, under the name of “The Frankton Machinery Exchange” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 1st day of October, 1939, and that the business of the said firm will from such date be carried on by the said Edward Wilfred Alker alone.
All moneys due to the said firm are to be paid to the said Wilfred Edward Alker who will settle all liabilities of the said firm.

NOTICE is hereby given that meetings of creditors and contributories in the above matter will be held in the offices of the liquidator, Gordon Street, Dannevirke, on the 9th day of November, 1939, at 7.30 p.m.
Business—To receive liquidator’s statement of account, and report on the progress of the winding up, pursuant to section 240 of the Companies Act, 1933.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between NORMAN DUNSTAN REID, CLIFFORD MORRICE WILBER NEALE, JOHN DORIEN MUNRO HENDERSON, WILLIAM AYTO, and HENRY MCINTOSH, all of Gore, Butchers, carrying on business at Gore as butchers under the style or firm of “Reid Brothers” has been dissolved as from the 31st day of March, 1939, so far as concerns the said Clifford Morrice Wilber Neale, John Dorien Munro Henderson, William Ayto, and Henry McIntosh, who retire from the said business which will be carried on by the said Norman Dunstan Reid and all debts and liabilities of the late partnership will be paid by him.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

ROLL OF HONOUR published by the DEFENCE DEPARTMENT, giving—
(1) A list of members of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces killed in action, died of wounds inflicted, of accidents occurring, or disease contracted while on active service.
(2) Those who died after discharge from the New Zealand Expeditionary Force from wounds inflicted or disease contracted while on active service.
(3) Those who died from accident occurring or disease contracted while training with or attached to the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces of New Zealand.
