Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Retail Sale of Motor-spirit.

I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—
(1) J. P. Simonsen for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit from one petrol pump installed on his premises at Howick Road, Blenheim.
(2) Manoys Stores, Motueka, for a license to transfer one pump to store premises previously occupied by S. P. Clay, and operate one additional pump already installed.
(3) F. C. Hickey for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit from four petrol pumps proposed to be installed at a new garage and service station at Hinds.
(4) N. V. Judd for a license to take over two pumps installed on the premises of C. E. Fisher, corner High Street and Brunswick Street, Lower Hutt, and transfer them to a new site on the opposite corner of Brunswick Street.
(5) W. Huse for a license to sell (retail) motor-spirit from petrol pumps proposed to be installed at a new service station at the junction of the Haywards-Pahautanui Roads.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 14th March, 1939. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.

Manufacture of Asbestos Cement Products.

I HEREBY give notice that applications have been received from—
(1) Samuel Brown, Ltd., Wellington;
(2) Ausbestos Ltd., Hilton, South Australia;
for licenses to manufacture electrical switchboard-panelling consisting principally of a combination of asbestos and cement.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau in respect of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than 23rd March, 1939.

Notice of Adoption under Part IX of the Native Land Act, 1931.

I T is hereby notified that an order of adoption as set out in the Schedule hereunder was made by the Native Land Court at Greytown on the 14th day of September, 1938, under the provisions of the Native Land Act, 1931.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Settlement Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 1st March, 1939.

N OTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924, and the Land for Settlements Act, 1925; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Friday, 14th April, 1939.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, 19th April, 1939, at 10.15 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

Applicants are required to produce for inspection when examined documentary evidence of their financial position, such as bank pass-books, certificates or letters of credit from managers of banks, financial institutions, or mercantile firms, or from private persons or parents undertaking to give financial assistance. Persons undertaking to assist financially should state to what extent they are prepared to do so and supply guarantees of their own financial position.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS SETTLEMENT LAND.

Manakau County.—Eccleston No. 2 West Settlement.

Section 36: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £100; half-yearly rent, £2 10s.
Section 37: Area, 1 rood. Capital value, £100; half-yearly rent, £2 10s.

Situated in Kaka Street, one mile from Otahuhu by good metalled road, the sections comprise flat land in grass and are quite fair building-sites. Soil is of a loamy nature. County water-supply available.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot a deposit comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and lease fee.
